He had to throw it high because of the underneath coverage or put more of an arc on it - good throw, great catch. Very quietily, the much maligned Cutler is having a pretty nice year. Fox and Case are evidently much better at whispering in his ear than Trestman was. Fox is really doing a nice job with that team considering Cutler's history and the relative lack of talent there.

You obviously saw something I did not see. I saw a bullet about 4-5 feet over his head that he managed to tag and recover. Outside of this play, I do agree that Cutler had an overall decent game.

The camera angle from behind the backfield showed the underneath coverage in front of him stride for stride but well underneath - didn't look open from that angle. But when you saw the gap from another angle, you could tell how far beyond that guy he was. So he was open, but it had to be thrown high.
