Interesting, also hard to blame conservatives from feeling that way when literally post after post on these boards are saying screw moderates, lets go as progressive as possible, don't need moderate candidates etc.....

Bro, the Tea Party took over the GOP in 2010-2012 in response to a moderate Democrat enacting slightly progressive legislation designed to help millions of Americans. I don’t see how you can go further right without openly courting authoritarianism. And hey, if the MAGA rubes and the 0.1% really want a fascist dictator, by all means go for it. But spare us the pearl-clutching, “We had no choice because Democrats want to be progressive” bullshit.

If we don't need to treat things she says with any reverence then why do Fox News and all the other right wing sites continue to obsess over everything she says?
 
Not only has right-wing news media clearly decided that AOC will be their next Hillary and Pelosi, but it's also clear that the main reason their viewers and readers hate her so much is because she's become the Fox News symbol of the dreaded Millennial generation. Fox even had an article to that effect some weeks ago - it claimed that she represents the stupidity, naivete, and just plain annoying behavior of Millennials to the older Fox News viewer base (the average age of the typical Fox News viewer is somewhere around 69). For aging and resentful Baby Boomers, AOC is an easy target to represent everything they loathe - she's young, attractive, outspoken, urban and cosmopolitan, is a Latino, promotes diversity and feminism, and has left-of-center cultural and economic views they find repugnant and frightening. The fact that she hits back as hard (and often just as effectively) as she gets from right-wingers on social media also infuriates them. I'm sure that Fox and other right-wing sites will be using her as a liberal, leftist socialist boogeywoman for years to come.

ETA: I found the article, and it pretty much sums up the attitude of Fox News viewers about the younger generation: "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the voice of an ignorant generation." LOL.

It further cements her atop the Dem party and causes an internecine battle between Pelosi,Schumer,Feinstein,Hoyer in one corner and Lizzie,Bernie,Kamala,Booker and AOC in the other.

Going to enjoy the savagery..we already have one chick who eats salad with a comb..

Be careful, many of us thought that Trump would tear the GOP apart in to racist vs religious vs fiscal conservative factions that would fight and destroy them selves...turns out the religious folks and business community are pretty ok with racism.
 
Racism has unified the party and purged the RINOs.

I didn’t say whether or not trump is racist (he probably is) because it doesn’t really matter. He is using, and has used, racist rhetoric to fire up racist people and rode the fervor to victory. We all hoped the religious right and Wall Street Republicans would be disgusted by it and him, but nope, aside from a few strongly worded op-eds, they were fine with it as long as they got their tax cuts and their judges.
