Ongoing Dem Debacle Thread: Commander will kill us all

The Nixon Dept of Justice literally sued Trump for being racist. He was racist as hell to his black casino employees. Hes been publicly saying racist shit his whole life. No reason to split hairs here, dude is a fucking racist. His daddy was a racist and quite probably taught him to run the family business in a racist way.

Fine, ok, the larger point is that 43% of voters were fine with that and >85% of the GOP are still fine with it. We hoped it would destroy the GOP coalition from within but it back fired and seems to have strengthened it.

Absolutely. Democrats were absolutely right to believe that Trumps blatant racism would shame away a large number of Republicans, where we were naive was in believing it would shame Republican politicians into abandoning his administration. Professional politicians, particularly Republicans, are incapable of shame. This donkey show of a presidency should destroy any future Democratic notion of winning by morality. Not gonna happen.
 
Any Republicans who would possibly consider voting for Democrats left the party awhile ago.

As I mentioned on the Cohen thread, she is motivated and she is largely coming from the right place, but she is dumb and she also doesnt know what she doesnt know.

It's really the same as Trump with the drain the swamp thing, ok shit is broken but if you elect a person that doesnt know how shit works and is too dumb to fix it or too dumb to surround himself with people who know how to fix things, then what have you accomplished?

Gates does a great job here, of pointing out the fallacies of the modern monetary policy theory as it applies to the US economy and the US tax code. AOC is too dumb to know that these guys are a LOT smarter than her, a LOT a LOT more resourceful and playing this game will be like wack a mole where you never even wack one mole. You have to get these guys to the table and have them agree, you cant just pass legislation with the goal of penalizing them.
