Also, premature question for next season: How successful/unsuccessful have you guys been with undersized lineups? I'm thinking of trotting out a three-guarder with 6'4"/6'0"/6'6"/6'6"/6'7" heights once Birdsong graduates. Good idea or bad?

Dearborn won an NTT with an undersized lineup. I think the tallest player was 6'8... not sure, warak and verify.

If you are looking at a PF/C rotation of 6'6/6'7 I think that's asking for trouble. I'm having to run something similar in L15 out of necessity and its not working great even with a +6 C that's 6'8. But your Evansville team would have much better guards than that squad. For me, a small lineup has worked but only with a legit C protecting the back line defensively. So if your C is a great athlete/defender/rebounder it could work okay

Yeah. I'd be running Bryan Moore at C in this scenario. He's 6'7", EEFGGG... I think he'd be able to handle it, but who knows

1st game: Frankfort 79 Paducah 68
2nd game: Frankfort 87 Paducah 46
1st game: Frankfort 66 Paducah 71 :tard: And they led wire to wire.

I did rest cond 9 PG Dwayne Torin, but his sub Arthur Coe has the same atts except in shot (F to G), not a 46 pt swing.

Seems the RNG was unkind to Waterloo as well (congrats DiV). This is like having UNC and Dook knocked out of the ACC Tournament semi-finals, and the "States" (NC and FL) are playing each other for the title. Instead of the hot FSU girls, we have Carbondale's cankled coeds. Carbondale is known as "cow college," but they don't have an Ag or Veterinary program.

Flagstaff is currently sitting at #2 in the power rankings and we are hoping it stays that way. We are trying for only our 3rd ever undefeated season (before the NTT of course) so tonight is a pretty important game for us. I don't really think we are the #2 team in the country but a guy can dream right? Good luck to everyone fighting for a NTT spot tonight.

Evansville Rachelwoods 81
Boca Raton Storm 80

Obviously, I wanted a win for Evansville, and we delivered with our first-ever season sweep of Boca. But I'm happiest that it was just a 1 point win-- I was convinced that Boca would have to win tonight to get into the NTT, and frankly, it wouldn't be the same without them there. The 1 point loss didn't do a ton of damage to the Storm, and they actually snuck into the tournament (albeit with a 1st round matchup against undefeated Camden). Back in C13land, we won our third straight C13 Tournament, and our fourth in five seasons. (These are also the first four C13T championships in Evansville history, for what it's worth.) After a rough freshman year against the Storm, Jerry Kennedy has developed into a bona fide BocaKiller, averaging 20.2 points on 50% shooting in his past 6 matchups with them. We didn't actually lead in this one until there was just 2:30 left, when Kennedy hit a huge 3. He delivered 24 points tonight, while Walter Spencer added 12 points on 8 shots off the bench.

Our first round matchup is against #45 Jacksonville, and frankly I like our chances. Best of luck to Storm, and to the rest of the DeACCon coaches.

Yeah, we were smaller than I remember...unremarkable team but 24-0!

Fargo wins the c21 tournament after dropping our 2nd game against Denver cost us the regular season bid for the first time in 6 or 7 seasons. We head into the NTT as a 6-seed in the SW. The opportunity is there to make a run but I'm not super confident in this squad. A first-round loss to a solid Decatur squad is not out of the question.

Our current recruiting:
Smart (21): 4/4
Young (23): 3/3
Beaty (16): 2/2
Thompson (32): 1pt net trail 1/1
Reay (14): CL
Shaw (28): CL

First Round Matchups with DeACCon Participants:
(1) Odessa vs (16) Arlington
(1) Flagstaff vs (16) Anchorage
(1) Camden vs (16) Boca Raton
(2) Frankfort vs (15) Chattanooga
(3) Scranton vs (14) Casper
(4) Carbondale vs (13) Duluth
(5) Evansville vs (12) Jacksonville
(5) Philadelphia vs (12) West Palm Beach
(5) Boston vs (12) Jersey City
(6) Fargo vs (11) Decatur
(7) Dearborn vs (10) Topeka
(8) Nashville vs (9) Garland

Congrats to DiV for winning the C18 tournament. It's a shame that 3 Deacon coaches are in contiguous brackets, and 4 in a pod (Boca).

Congrats and good luck in the NTT. We'll do our best to be one of the inevitable 1st round 16 seed upsets. Seems like we get 1-2 a season.

Congrats to DiV for winning the C18 tournament.

Thanks! It is our second C18 Title in a row!

Our reward is a 4 seed in the NTT vs Duluth. It will be a battle of teams with top-10 strengths of schedule. In spite of our schedule strength, we only have one top-50 win, though we did beat Flagstaff by 12 in the last pre-season game. Good luck in your other 5 NTT games after this one, Ph.

Thanks. I made a few lineup changes that came through at the right time. Two of my freshmen have flourished in the starting lineup.

Time for the :dancindeac: Invitational. Post your PR's to play.

Yeesh. Flagstaff tried to throw away our #1 seed with a sluggish start. Fortunately our freshmen SF Owen Garzon put us on his back most of the game. Unfortunately we have a peaking Fort Worth team up next. Not liking how we are looking honestly. Hopefully it's a good game. We will need our 1-3 guys to carry us, get them in foul trouble and hope our bigs can survive inside. Good luck to everyone still alive.
