Ranked #45, I should be one of the better teams in the PTT. Just jinxed myself.

#1 seed in my region is #18 ranked Harrisburg. How'd he not get an ad large bid to NTT?

I may be wrong, but it looks like anyone that won their regular season gets in, and everyone that wins the conference tourney gets in. Flawed, I think - with 32 conferences, leaves very few places for at large bids.

That's the way it always was. Often teams win both, but if they don't it does take up at large spots.

Looks like Harrisburg was #35 going in to the tournaments. Still high but not as crazy.

As far as the two auto-bids per conference, I think this season just had a particularly high degree of parity resulting in relatively few teams winning both. And in oDTL, even if the auto-bids were split, in a lot of cases both teams had at-large caliber PRs to begin with so at large spots weren't 'lost'.

Moving forward I'd expect to see the at-large cutoff moving back though given the amount of teams in the league, probably not to where it typically was in L7 (50 or so?)

#50 is what I remember too.

I'm 0-5 since beating awaken to end the regular season. I'm at 11-9 and staring at a losing record while chasing recruits with high Win preferences.

RTT Update!

Amarillo Nightmare 67
Providence Iron Pigs 65

Amarillo's improbable run continues as we upended the #9 seed. JR SF Adan French led the team with 14. Statistically they won in every category except PTs. The real difference was their 2 for 10 shooting from 3, while Amarillo shot 4 for 8. Next up is #12 Las Vegas Mobsters. A win Friday could potentially setup a faceoff with fellow Deac Flagstaff.

On the bubble/tourney watch, I agree with what both of you are saying. I remember you being pretty safe getting in in L7 @ 50 or lower. Parity seems the norm for teams given the first season. I do feel as time goes we should see a few teams rise to the top and others fade (as folks lose interest) but given that it's the only league I doubt it'll be quite like L7. Awaken said it best about splitting the league in half to form two leagues. Let's face it, no one wants to be entrenched in a program that cannot win, so some CPU teams is likely a good thing.

It looks like Stillwater will be signing three of the below recruits. I haven't figured out how I'm going to prioritize them, if at all, so if anyone has any insight on how they'd rank/prioritize/project them, I'd love to hear it. So far I basically have that Copeland will be last, w/ Landon likely 5th but I'm open to any ideas.

The improbable run continues! RTT Update...

Amarillo Nightmare 88
Las Vegas Mobsters 81

Amarillo has a chance to get to .500 on the season tonight as we've gotten our 3rd straight upset victory in the RTT. FR PG Jorge Beatty (21) and FR SG Diego Carlisle (19) carried the team yet again as this team is starting to take shape for next season. Beatty and Carlisle will return and likely be adding help in the post. Amarillo had 23 assists on the match and won the steal and block shot battle. A miserable 3-13 from 3pt was remedied by 17 for 21 at the charity stripe.

Next up is #95 Ithaca Sphinxmen who put a 20 pt beat down on Flagstaff. On paper the #134 ranked Nightmare should lose this game handidly but we're 1 win from an RTT final 4.

I don't mind doing it but I'm not sure how we go about doing it. Do we have ability to request games? or do we just PM kmoney?

As far as teams, have a I got everyone correctly? does anyone want to be excluded?

RTT Update

Amarillo Nightmare 89
Ithaca Sphinxmen 69

Had you told me the score, I would have believed Ithaca had blown us out. However, somehow Amarillo's streak continues as 5 straight losses to end the regular season have been followed with 4 straight wins to even our record on the season. We now face #116 Trenton Tigers for a chance to play in the RTT finals.

Against Ithaca, the biggest difference in the game was shooting. The sphinxmen were 30-71 while the Nightmare were 37-70. Ironically, Arlington from C24 also made it to the final four. Meeting them in the final wouldn't be ideal as they were 2-1 against us this season.

RTT Update

Amarillo Nightmare 62
Trenton Tigers 61

Can't believe we've done it, but we're in the RTT Final! This assures us of at least a .500 record on the season, something that looked impossible at the end of the regular season. JR SF Adan French carried the team with 15 pts and despite 30 pts from Dakota Clark, Amarillo was able to edge out Trenton. The Nightmare took advantage of 12 turnovers by the tigers. Next up appears to be our toughest opponent yet #65 Garland Money. The 14-9 Money SR PF Devontae McKenzie who might prove difficult for the Nightmare's front court and JR SG Payton Winslow both are averaging over 17 ppg.

Thanks, awaken. Think I like Biles the best also, especially as he provides a different look than my other better possibilities, who all look like combo forwards to me. Leaning towards priority of 1. Biles 2. (Oliver, Franklin, Garey) 3. Landon 4. Copeland

Also, accepted my four pending deaccon requests and requested the remaining two.

Just confirmed the request I had sitting out there and hopefully sent requests to Myrtle Beach and Oxford. I have a request sitting out there for EXH 2 from a team not affiliated with us Cedar Rapids, so hopefully that doesn't throw anything off. I have not accepted his invitation obviously.

awaken if you have time, i'd like to know what your formula thinks of my recruits....

Axel English C 17 0/2
