really a shame how this one turned out. Newman missed a lot of critical throws. Defense had a great first half but the inability of the offense to maintain any sort of possession has them totally gassed and no chance to get a stop

Against bad teams maybe. Hartman really struggled against good teams.

Lack of depth, especially on the D-line, has been Wake’s biggest ongoing weakness in my 20+ years watching the Deacs.
 
Again, a good gameplan. Shut down the run. Made the QB pick us apart, and he did.
 
Pitt now has 200'yds more offense than us.

Hartman was accurate when given time to throw. The OL was nonexistent in many games against better teams. Newman was great last week but equally as bad today. You can’t pkay a QB who cannot even hit routine throws as has been the case today....against an average defense. Hartman needs to be our guy unless we recruit someone else. It is not Newman

Meh, open is open and covered is covered. Newman has had great protection all day and he's missed countless wide open throws. He played great against a team who watched him hand it off for a half and then threw single coverage at him based on that, but he's clearly our #2 QB for a reason.
 
that should have been a TD. Newman has not been good today.
 
We need 2 TDs

Narduzzi is a defensive mind. He will bottle this up and end it.
