Recommend good stuff you've seen on Netflix streaming

There are a ton of scenes filmed at the North Charleston Coliseum (the Pineapple arena if you've been there) in the righteous gemstones. I go to conferences there frequently so it's so weird to see John Goodman and Danny Mcbride doing crazy scenes there.

Adam Devine mistakenly stopped by my wedding in Charleston. He walked into what he thought was the bar area. We waved.

Anyone watch For All Mankind on AppleTV+?

Joel Kinnamon (The Killing, Suicide Squad, RoboCop) stars, and a bunch of people that have familiar faces.

Premise is that the Soviets were the first to step foot on the moon and to have female cosmonauts. The Cold War never ends and there's an alternate history storyline.

I enjoyed it (Two 10 episode seasons so far), but can see how some wouldn't. It starts off slow and definitely takes a while to get into, but it hits its stride.

Season 2 has some WTF moments, but all around interesting take on taking the Cold War to the Moon.

Watched, or tried to, Eternals last night. Fucking trash, turned it off in 45 minutes.

Eh, I'll never do that to a Marvel movie, but it's easily in the bottom 3 of MCU.

Wayyyy too much romance, not enough superhero pew-pews

Anyone give Wolf Like Me with Isla Fisher and Josh Gad on Peacock a chance? I though it was pretty good and I adore Isla Fisher lucky Borat.

Just finished this last night. Totally blindsided me with the story it told, but I enjoyed it. A quick watch too with all 6 episodes being under 30 minutes. I actually finished it in one night.

I concur with you about Isla Fisher. Smokin' hot.

liked it enough but the wife storyline in season 2 left a pretty bad impression on me for the series as a whole.

Yeah, I felt that was totally unnecessary. Very much enjoyed the rest of it though. I mean, all the "what ifs" that the series asks us to consider don't seem too far fetched.

Oh, Pam and Tommy on Hulu. Not sure what I was expecting, but it has exceeded them so far on all counts. Definitely not for everybody, as the porno plot is pretty well explored and fleshed out, so to speak.

Lily James is so HOT !

Lily James is so HOT !

Yeah, just absurdly so. I didn't even recognize her as Pam Anderson and even now that I know, I have to stare a little longer to notice. Not that I mind. Even though she's walking around with prosthetic titties in this, still lots of ass shots.

Not gonna bother with the previews thread. I just watched the "Winning Time" trailer (about the 80s Lakers) and looked at the cast in IMDB. Someone is playing Jim Spanarkle, wtf did he have to do with the 80s Lakers, except for "mediocre generic white dude on a team tiers below the Lakers"?

There's a credit for Loren G. Woods as Phil Hubbard. Yes, THAT Loren Woods.

If you are forced into a romcom tonight, I Want You Back is a really good one. It's on Amazon Prime. Charlie Day and Jenny Slade both great.

Who is the other Loren Woods that required him to be Loren G. Woods? I get Michael B. Jordan.

I read that the guy playing Magic is 6-3. The dude Woods is playing is 6-8.

Jenny Slate is pretty high on my list of hot chicks who nobody talks about how hot they are.

Watched the first 3 episodes of "Bel Air". I wish I had more to say than "meh, it's ok." I know this is a drama and not a comedy, and so far that has manifested as a lot of teen drama that was more comedy in the original series. The friendly ribbings between Will and Carlton are no longer friendly and it generates a weird nostalgia that is tough to separate from the original series. The same "insults" that were just shrugged or laughed off in the original are reputation challenging zingers. The acting has been solid, and I particularly think Olly Sholaton (Carlton) has done a great job. My wife and I both agree that we'll keep watching.

Watching Alfonso Ribiero now it’s hard to tell if he has simply never stopped playing Carlton, or if Carlton wasn’t actually a character but just Alfonso being himself

he and Mario Lopez are sort of stuck in this perennial thing where they will host anything and be on any show and have the same persona wherever
