FFS, Nazism is not Socialism.

When implemented, both have lead to brutal dictatorships (though not always in the case of socialism; see Norway for example), but that is where the similarities end.
 
I think an interesting question would be: What percentage of Trump supporters would be ok with him being a dictator in America?

Or, conversely, What percentage of Obama supporters would be ok with him being a dictator in America?

What I'm getting at, is I think our country is SEVERELY struggling to interpret history and its correlation with political science. I know I have talked to people that really don't seem to understand that it wasn't just Hitler being Hitler that lead to WWII, but fascism that breeds people and situations like Hitler's.

Wrong! Nazis are fascists not socialists. Nazis are the most extreme RWers.

If you are going to be lame and use the name, then you must agree that North Korea is a democracy. After all, the official name of NK is the Democratic Republic of North Korea.

Well this is like a wrong opinion. IMO (see what i did there) Libertarians are the furthest right, right wingers and Nazis are far from that. To much populism in Nazi rhetoric to make them "extreme" right wing. Again this is my opinion.

It is a FACT though that the far right parties in Germany post WWI Denounced the Nazi party for being to far left wing.

What would you define as "extremely far right". At the end of the day calling somebody right or left is just a label we assign to people based off of ones conceived views of someones beliefs. It's just an opinion. Take it this way in RJ's opinion he is a moderate, while it is the opinion of the majority of the boards that he is not.

Either you are willfully ignorant, incapable of understanding the English language or simply lying to pander to many. I'm guess this is about the 25th time I've posted between all the boards. Catamount, here's what I actually said (and is true):

I am moderate on fiscal issues and progressive on social and international issues.

Maybe someday, Catamount and others will actually pay attention. My guess is Cat will dispute this, but he'd be wrong in doing so.

Meanwhile in Cville, a lot of angry folks on the left essentially took over a city council meeting and chaos ensued for 3 hours. Council had zero control of the meeting and left on a couple of occasions when threatened. Council is being blamed for allowing the demonstration to occur (a federal judge told them they had to), for not taking down the statues already (there is pending litigation over the matter with an injunction in place against the city) and for ordering the cops to stand down (ain't no way council did that). While I agree there needs to be an investigation into the preparedness and tactics used by local and state police on 8/12, this type of threatening behavior is not the answer, nor are the blossoming conspiracy theories. The local story is below, and watch some of the video to get an idea as to what was going down.
