Doesn't he have have the worst field goal percentage on the team by a pretty big margin?
Supposedly he was the best shooter on the team in pre-season.

I think that Rountree is more like Jalen Rose than Cav. I think Cav can be good but right now he is rushing and he keeps missing so many easy layups. I'm attributing those misses to just being an over eager freshmen. Hopefully this hunch is correct and he can further develop his game this year and over the summer.

He's shooting 39% from 2 and 25% from 3. It's not pretty.
He's actually shooting under 34% from 2 and 25% from 3. I really hope he can pull it together this season because if he can get his outside shot to fall he could really be an asset for the Deacs.
What stats are you looking at? FG (33.8%)= 2FG (39%) + 3FG (25%).
haha... you're right. I'm an idiot

Fire Buzz and then let's talk.Obviously this doesn't deserve yet another thread for itself so I'll slide it in this one,but it's time we come together as a fan base and get behind this team with everything we can possibly give them. We can all agree that we've all had moments of disgust the past few seasons surrounding Bzz to the point that even the strongest of Wake fans and supporters have backed away from the program. I am guilty myself losing faith in the Athletic department and Bzz. Having said that, we HAD to get rid of Ari, JTT and T woods. Carson and Tony C would hardly sniff the court on this years team. Coach had to take a couple steps backwards before he could make any strides in the right direction. At this point With the group of Freshman we have this season, Miles and Greg next season and the promise of a really strong class in 2014 lead me to believe that we will soon see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Really excited about Shelton and the future of the program, GO DEACS!
From Telep:
Wake Forest has landed its point guard of the future. Shelton Mitchell (Waxhaw, N.C./Cuthbertson), ranked No. 20 overall in the Class of 2014, made an early decision to commit to Jeff [Redacted]'s Demon Deacons on Friday.
"I thought about doing it a month ago," Mitchell said. "They've always been my favorite but I kept it to myself. I gave it a month to make sure and then slept on it again last night. When I woke up I knew. I always wanted to go to school there."
Mitchell was born on the West Coast but he's been bred on Wake Forest basketball, in particular point guard Chris Paul.
Mitchell plays for the CP3 All-Stars, attended Paul's point guard camp and is set to follow in his shoes. The same coach who recruited Paul, assistant Jeff Battle, was instrumental in locking down Mitchell.
Make no mistake about it, the traffic for Mitchell was steadily increasing and to score a pledge from one of the nation's true floor generals is a significant move for the Demon Deacons.
"They were the first (school) to come in," Mitchell said. "They told me when I was a freshman that I was their guy. I always was their guy."
Mitchell, who played in the state championship game last year, considers himself a member of the staff. A leader on the floor, he hopes his first assist comes before he steps on the court in Winston-Salem.
Mitchell said he keeps in contact with junior wing Kelly Oubre (Houston/Bush) and Gary Clark (Clayton, N.C./Clayton), a junior forward outside of Raleigh. No. 11 junior Leron Black (Memphis, Tenn./White Station), who just decommitted from Baylor this week, is another guy Mitchell intends to work over and said he keeps in regular contact with each.
"I'm working on whoever I can," Mitchell said. "I want to help bring in more guys."
As a sophomore, Mithchell averaged 23.4 points, 4.5 assists and 5.4 rebounds. This season he's averaging 21 points and five assists. He's the highest-rated recruit to commit to [Redacted] at Wake Forest.
I saw him play this month in the HSOT Invitational. Scored 30 points in a loss vs. Hampton (Va), but beat NCSU PG commit Cat Barber in just about every facet.
