Imagine where he'd be without minimum wage to pay for his degrees from colleges of education. Pushing that broom.

I would posit that the free market couldn't ever manage a feat like the Hoover Dam. They've relied on government R&D for most modern innovations, have they not? The free market is good at mass producing and streamlining production and profiteering but require the helping hand of government to innovate.

Right. None of the tech companies would exist if Al Gore hadn't invented the internet.

That's a pretty poor way to make whatever your point is.

I think his point was just to make fun of Al Gore and thus make fun of liberals.

Right. Because, lame Al Gore joke aside, the Internet would totally exist without decades of public R&D.

That's a pretty poor way to make whatever your point is.

Step 2: If not, then would you concede that sometimes government is prone to exaggerate its share of the credit?

Right. None of the tech companies would exist if Al Gore hadn't invented the internet.

That's funny but yeah please go ahead and take the position that the beloved and almighty free market innovated microprocessing free of US gov/military dollars and contracts. Please.

Can you imagine all the additional barriers to entry there would be if the almighty free market created the internet without any government intervention?

Surely The Creator made the loam, made the sun shine and made the rain fall, but without the sweat of the farmer the soil will never be tilled, the seeds would never be sewn, the weeds would never be pulled and harvest would wither on the vine.

He who did not endeavor to till the land yet still wants to eat his share speaks of The Creator's contributions with great reverence, and is often the first to gloss over the contribution of the farmer.

Pick up your hoe, Bake, and render her dirty. Then go pull some weed.
