man that Jar Jar theory is insane. the guy made it sounds realistic.
 
The biggest thing with it, to me, is how insistent Lucas has been about that bullshit mirror/rhyme motif. Jar Jar absolutely was being set up to fill the same role as Yoda in Ep 5, I think. That just makes too much sense to not be true.

More evidence that Lucas was surrounded by yes men for the prequels.

"You know that goofy two or three minutes that Luke thinks Yoda is some goofy kook? Let's do that with Jar Jar through the whole first film."

I think Jar Jar was supposed to be more of a stand in for C3PO's bumbling than Yoda's weird-sage role; i think people are retroactively justifying this theory

carrie fisher is unrecognizable in that picture. they really got her in shape.
 
Yeah. Ford and Fisher were the primary examples of why older men still get good roles and older women don't.
 
I'm sure the TIE-Fighter + rising sun scene wasn't meant to look like Pearl Harbor at all
