Ted Cruz's Father: Send Obama Back to Kenya

Wait, the rev wright thing was only followed on message boards and fox? Candidate Obama made a whole race speech in the aftermath. Everyone knew about that shit, but no one except voters who weren't voting for Obama anyway cared or thought it was that bad. In fact, what he said was not bad at all. I you don't say god damn America once in a while then you aren't paying attention. He didn't call for McCain to go back to Panama Canal Zone or that he hoped he was still in a Vietnamese pow camp.

I think you are really overestimating Cruz. The man thinks he tactically won the shutdown disaster because the echo chamber he inhabits sends him endless Facebook praise. But Cruz, through his own poor strategy, became a figure of wide national ridicule, antagonized the core of his own party, and morphed from someone who could actually dictate a bit of GOP policy to someone who can now basically only give speeches. BY embracing the Tea party fully and antagonistically, he is losing authority and influence (and very likely money). If his only ambition was to ride the wave of the declining Tea Party, then he's already peaked. The smart GOP is getting distance from the fringe. See Ryan, Christie, etc.

The cha ching gravy train depends on an ideological foil in the White House. Michael Moore's been MIA for five years. A Christie presidency would really hurt wingnut cash flow. Palin had nothing to lose by cashing in, but not so much for Cruz. His wife's a director at Goldman Sachs and she makes a lot more money that he does. Alienating big bidness hurts them. Palin was never going to be a CEO or on any major boards and the same thing goes for the first dude. Reality TV is the only option for that snowbilly circus. There's no market for a reality show where crazy gumpa Cruz takes his grandkids around berating gays. Trump totally hosed himself by throwing his lot in with the birthers. He's effectively alienated 75% of the public.

Where is Michael Moore? Dude should be pumping out docs on drones, whistleblowers, torture, and NSA.

As far as Christie, we know he can work with Democrats in the legislature. We don't know if he can keep Republican legislators in check. Will he just sign off on the crazy stuff coming out of the House?

He was on Bill Maher's show two Friday's ago. I can't remember a single good point that he made during the entire show.

What about points from the other guests? Not saying he didn't suck, but maybe your memory does too.

Al Sharpton, the git that he is, had a good point about Obama did right to admit to the calamitous mistake of how the ACA got rolled out, but that the objective of providing health care for more people was still on the way to being accomplished.

Valarie Plame just dropped in thoughts every once in a while and really just laughed at Maher's jokes.
