Totally Unofficial 2017/18 Premier League Thread (NWT)

How we spent all that money and have a USMNT level back line is a travesty. And if we can't find somebody to play up front besides DCL, very likely we will be going down. New manager may be able to tighten up defense, but striker problem can only be fixed in January.

Just like last season, Toby gets hurt in the late fall and Spurs suddenly look wobbly as fuck.

It's like City in the old days with Kompany. The whole team looks so much worse whenever he can't play

Maybe Poch should concentrate on developing an acceptable backup to the oft-injured Alderweireld.

Love Davinson Sanchez but what suffers most when Toby is out, regardless of who is filling in for him is his passing. Obviously Davies, Rose, whoever else they are playing out wide are still serving up crosses, but the on the ground link up play with the midfield totally falls apart without AlderTongen

Big Dom Solanke starting up top today. Kind of love that. At least we'll get 2x more industry from him than we get from Sturridge. No Hendo or Milner, this pleases me.

Hope Ox is up for it today. Big opportunity for him. That said, it's all for nought as Mr. Consistent Dejan Lovren has stumbled his way back into the XI.

I see you, Arsenal.

City: Aguero. De Bruyne. Jesus. Sterling.

Jesus fuck, imagine seeing that as an opposing CB. Good luck VVD.

Rooney heads home his saved PK. Hart lucky to not get a straight red for the takedown of DCL in the box. Great through ball from Siggy to set it up.

1-0 in the 18th with Big Sam in the stands watching his new team.
