Who sells Suarez and then replaces him with Balotelli? That is fucking insane.

It's the smart move. If Liverpool advance from this group, it will be based on wins over Ludogorets and Basel in the next two games. The Chelsea game should be the priority for this week.

And with as much cash as Rodgers spent in the offseason, he's supposed to have the depth to be able to field a quality team today even without Gerrard and Sterling. Guys like Can and Markovic need more playing time if nothing else.
 
sitting Gerrard probably helps Liverpool's chances, in all honesty.

What a signing Alexis Sanchez is turning out to be. After going on that stunning solo run, he had earned the right to take the free-kick. As it happened, his effort was a total nonsense, straight into the wall. But not to worry. The ball came back to him so he slammed a vicious volley through the bodies and past a flabberghasted Proto, who could do nothing to keep it out down by his left post. Arsenal are on their way.
