Angus just pops in the play gotcha instead of commenting thoughtfully on, you know, actual injustice and corruption under Trump and within his Republican Party.

A good Republican when you think about it — deflects all day long while willfully avoiding things like undermining the free press, campaign finance malfeasance, not giving a shit about fair elections, treating dictators as friends, tax fraud, infidelity with pornstars, denying climate change, verbally attacking anyone who disagrees with him, pardoning criminals, etc. Anything to distract from the insecurity of their vote and support (spoken or unspoken) of Trump

Still haven't seen the sign, but accusing one side of being callous towards dead migrants and actually being callous towards being dead migrants are not morally the same thing.
 
If she’s using the poster to protest what happened, it does a piss poor job of getting her point across.

And to answer Angus’s dumb question...context matters.

With new information, her poster went from a callous celebration of the death of two migrants to a poorly executed attempt to protest the death. In the first scenario, she is deplorable. In the second scenario, she is dumb but has good intentions.

If there they had a democracy, Republicans could just nominate their own candidate to run against Trump.
