Trump: I think I’d take help from a foreign government in the 2020 election

The silence from Republicans in Congress is showing their total lack of integrity. This is as easy as saying Nazis are bad and people who scream "white power" are bad.

1) Trump is a dotard, a wannabe autocrat, and now admits to being a willing traitor if anyone offers.
2) This is also the predictable outcome of 30+ years of conservative media convincing large portions of the country that anyone who doesn't vote Republican is not just misguided, or has bad ideas, or will raise your taxes, but is an actual enemy of Democracy, Murica, and Apple Pie. They've convinced the population of entire states that their political opponents are not true Americans and are damn near subhuman. Therefore any measures whatsoever are acceptable to defeat them. We're in a dangerous place and Trump is the symptom, not the cause of this disease.

So much this. Trump just volunteered he's willing to commit at least a couple of crimes. That 40% of the country that still loves him are at least as moronic as he is.

Great take. This constant drum beat by conservative media that the LibDems are evil has a specific undertone: The ends justify the means. You are true American if you collude with Russia to prevent the baby killing, Socialist elite Dems from getting in power.
 
He really has done such a good job of getting people to distrust the media and the FBI, that when stuff like this happens, he can go back and say the media is wrong, as they are out to get me and the FBI is wrong, because they have been out to get me from the start.

His base is so trained to not trust the media and the FBI, that when legitimate concerns about serious issues come out, they ignore it, because of the constant message, Fake News and Deep State.

If it wasn't so scary, you'd have to applaud the brilliance of it.
