"WASHINGTON – A new government analysis of President Donald Trump's budget plan says it wouldn't come close to balancing the federal ledger like the White House has promised.

Thursday's Congressional Budget Office report says that Trump's budget, if followed to the letter, would result in a $720 billion deficit at the end of 10 years instead of the slight surplus promised."

Yet another promise falls by the wayside...can't just go back and sue/not pay your contractors on this one buddy.

But he says it'll be balanced. Isn't what he says worth more?

Don't worry, when Ronald TrumpDonald realizes that his budget is making the country go under, he'll just go talk to some Russian oligarchs to bail him out. It's the business model that has been so effective for him for so many years.

Comrades, start learning Cyrillic.

Nah, he'll just say "everything is great" even as we tank. Saying it makes it so in his world. He can literally speak reality and truth into existence. Amazing (con) man.

""Speaking on a flight from Washington to Paris, Mr Trump told reporters on board Air Force One that it was vital border agents could see through the wall to be aware of oncoming dangers.

"One of the things with the wall is you need transparency. You have to be able to see through it," he said.

"As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don't see them. They hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It's over."

At least his budget plan doesn't include the 50 foot high transparent, steel, solar cell wall that Mexico is paying for to keep themselves from "throwing 60 pound bags of drugs" over it and threatening tourists wandering around the US side of the border.

How dare the liberal media insult his intelligence

So condescending to point out how ridiculous that is.

But for real, I think it's a way to lower expectations to a fence.

I'm sorry Reaganite Obama disappointed you.

Deficits decrease during Democratic administrations and increase during Republican administrations. That's been the story for 40 years now.

Jhmd and palma would have preferred the US government freeze all non-military spending during a ripping recession and take a hard look at debt that wasn't in danger of being called in. Fascinating

Trump isn't running the government like he did his businesses. People are still getting paid and he hasn't gone bankrupt...yet...

:bowrofl:

I really think Trump should do something about all these poor brides who are left without their wedding dresses. Can't Ivanka save them? Anybody here sew? :)

Why would he want to, it makes pussy grabbing easier?

How about letting banking executives and people who made bad investments lose on their investments. People at the poverty level weren't investing in mortgage backed securities. We had a recession because we had lower interest rates and banks were deemed to big to fail. So we fixed it with even lower interest rates for 5 times as long and made the banks even bigger, but I guess people can finally sell their home they bought 10 years ago for a profit. That's good, right? Well except rents have doubled for the poor, that's probably why they revolted in November.

Obama kicked the can down the road, remember that for when it really blows up.
