Vad Lee, Former Wake QB Recruit, to transfer from GT

I can't believe he'd leave as starting QB at an power conference D1 school and transfer to a D1-AA program. Unless JMU was making the jump from D1AA to D1 in 2015.

He has already redshirted, so he can't transfer to an FBS team without losing one of his remaining two seasons - meaning an FCS team is really the only viable option.

The fact that he's transferring even though that is the case tells you what a wreck GT football is right now.

Today's (Jan 4) Washington Post has a story about a guy who left VATech in spring of 2012 after two seasons and is now a senior starter at Towson, a team playing for the FCS championship today. Bud Foster, VATech D-coordinator says he would have been a significant contributor the past two years. So the Vad Lee transfer to a FCS would not be unheard of.
