3 schools have landed more than 5 top 100 players (Florida, Vandy, LSU). Here, you are suggesting that recruiting at a level lower than those 3 schools is a failure.

Wake has 2 top 100 recruits. Only ten schools have 3 or more top 100 recruits. So to summarize, your statements on Wake losing baseball games in recent seasons have validity, but your ideas of the recruiting levels that are feasible at Wake Forest don’t.

Their ranking looks better than it is because they have 1 elite guy, who will never pitch at wake, who boosts the ranking. Step in the right direction for sure but the depth issue is why wake loses. Their 22 and 23 rankings mediocre too btw.
 
Our baserunning has been consistently subpar for a station-to-station team. In this game alone we ran ourselves out of 2 scoring opportunities.

The angle Lanzilli was watching it from the field looked like he was looking to the left of the pole, at least on tv. All I meant was the fact that they were reviewing it made me uneasy. The whole point of review is when something isn't "obvious".
Lighten up.
 
Critiques aside, we have been playing a lot better our fielding is now up to like 10th in the ACC which indicates that we have better fielding the last several games.

Baserunning has been LOL bad.

I am not one to critique Walter like many, and I think we have a good chance to turn this season around and get in the tournament. However, if we continue to try to get a 50/50 base with 2 outs and Wilken and Bobby coming up, that's just so, so bad.

Forgot who as on 3rd, but trying to bring him in on that shallow pop up in left field yesterday and with Wilken on deck, it's hard to look past that kind of thing.

I say all of that to agree that our defense has gotten better the last few series but we can only go so far this season with such terribad baserunning.

Need to beat Liberty and sweet VPI to get back to middle of the pack in the ACC
 
Short lived. 5-1 Liberty T3. McNamee poor job and got smoked. In 1.3 innings walked 3 and 1 WP. Responsible for 4 runs. 1 Error by Lanzilli.

Took the error down. Gave batter a triple vs a double. (Linzilli got to the hit but went under his glove.)
 
5-2 B4.

Tinsman @ 2nd given green light on hit that CF catches and throws back to 2nd to double up Tinsman for 3rd out.

Lanzilli is a butcher, no wonder he’s still in school
 
E5 (Wilken) puts runners on the corners with 1 out. SF ends pitcher 2 (Oxford). McGraw in and he gets 3rd out.

Liberty has 2 Ws vs UNC (H & A), 1 vs UVa (H), and a L vs Duke (A)
 
Walk hot hitter to load bases with 2 outs. Next guy gets 2 RBI single....8-2 T7

Cencere with a 2 RBI double. 8-4 now batting in T8 with 1 out.
 
And 2 fly outs. Liberty 16-0 when leading after 6....
 
The Liberty site has really good stats. We have had 23 at bats in this game we've had the opportunity to advance a runner. We have only advanced a runner in 5 at bats.
 
Lose 8-4. 3/19 with runners in scoring position.....
