Cusick is a nervous wreck on the mound, fidgeting, jerking, muscle spasms, touching hat, twitching, etc....
All around the plate....high (like over the batter's head), low (like 3 pitches past the catcher in 3 innings), inside, outside. When he hits 95+ over the plate he gets a K or a S. But 90-94, State sent them into doubles or HRs....

any team that gives that kid 2 million bucks will be surely dissapointed, pin this and tell me i was right in 5 years
also watched replay of game, what a joke. laughable errors and pure laziness by the wake RF to turn a single into a double. I wonder how many HRS an actual good team would have at wake. gotta love seeing flair fly balls go out, little league field

NC state has pretty much 5 pitchers that they rely on to do most of their pitching 2/3 of innings pitched. Their closer went 3 innings last night to wrap up the game after pitching 3 innings and 2.1 innings last weekend against Virginia Tech after coming in for the starter both times. Our best ERA pitcher is 9th in innings pitched and hasn't pitched in a situation where we have led or tied in weeks. Yet we continue to bring in same 4-5 middle relievers for short stints multiple times every weekend series and get the same results
Walter is a fool that’s why. Let’s jsut hope they do something crazy and lose out, only hope of him getting fired. Still think they pussy out and let him stay

Come on, John. Beyond time for Wake Forest to pull the plug on Walter. He will never win here.
State pitching collapse. Reliever throws 4 straight balls to 1st at bat, HBP 2nd guy, 3rd guy successfully bunts, 4th guy bunts and pitcher rifles it past 3rd baseman. 2 runs score. Walks in another run with bases loaded. Then Lanzelli singled in 2 runs. 14-8 & still no outs.

i just tuned back in so didn't see the play. But sounds like the smart type of play that we HAVEN'T been making often.

The offense has been back for a while now, the problem is Walter has no clue how to manage his pitching staff. He’s putting guys on the mound to get the “matchup” but they can’t throw strikes. If he is ever gonna lead a team to Omaha at Wake they’re going to have to find some quality relievers. Really think the transfer portal should be better utilized. William Simoneit and Mascolo are both guys that transferred in and were exceptional.
Tom did FINALLY use the small ball, and it worked twice in a row. Maybe this will be light bulb moment and he’ll use it in key situations from now on. Nice rivalry win today, but pretty much need to win the series, and every single one left to get the ACCT.

So McNamee settles down and gets a strikeout for out 2. Walter has to take him out and put another shaky member of our bullpen because he hasn't figured out yet that the more pitching changes we make the worse our chances of avoiding runs. Of course, Oxford comes in and walks a run in and gives up a hit to get the tying run to the plate.
His coaching of this team is so maddening.
It is obvious by now that Walter has a predetermined list of pitchers he's going to put in a game. Today the difference was when he put in Adler, yanked him when he was pitching fine, but sends him to left field. After three more relievers come in and give up runs, he brings Adler back to the mound and he closes out the game and gets the third out and W.
That is just strangely weird to me. It's like you took him out of pitching but kept him in the game knowing that taking him out from pitching was probably not going to be the wisest move.
