Clemson, 10 minutes, 4 fouls
Florida State, 13 minutes, 1 foul
@GT, 11 minutes, 0 fouls
@NC State, 11 minutes, 5 fouls (impressive!)
VT, 15 minutes, 4 fouls
@Duke, 13 minutes, 3 fouls
 
Yeah. And you could go back to those game threads and see us complaining that Collins didn’t get enough playing time. I get Thomas and Dinos starting but Collins and Moore could have played more.
 
What's really bad is the realization that Manning identified and recruited our best player in the last decade and also took us to the tourney. Haven't seen those heights since. Sobering.

And this isn't an argument that Manning was a great head coach. But just a reminder, yeah, that was our peak.

He averaged 2.6 fouls in 14.4 minutes per game.

By comparison:
Filipowski: 2.6 fouls in 29.9 mpg as a freshman
Hunter Dickinson: 2.5 fouls in 25 mpg as a freshman
Dinos Mitoglou: 2.0 fouls in 22.3 mpg as a freshman
Oscar Tschwiebe: 2.6 fouls in 23.2 mpg as a freshman

Collins was prone to fouling. I'm not sure what the point of trying to extrapolate what we could have done with him playing more. Maybe we ought to appreciate that he developed and exploded by his sophomore year and took us to the tourney.
 
Hooray for Danny Manning!!!!!!!!!

If John Collins were on campus right now having just completed his freshman year, "representatives" from roughly 361 D1 basketball programs would be interested to know what kind of NIL package he would accept to leave WF
