WF Tennis (WS Open Starts Saturday)

Go Rubin. Boss. Would hate to lose him next year, but an individual title is awesome for Wake.
 
Plays against the guy he beat in ACC championship.
 
Noah will play UVA's #1 player. Noah beat him in the ACC Championship, but he was really good.
 
In typical wake fashion, the one really good thing that will happen this sports season will result in us losing Rubin next year.

Didn't we have a women's tennis champ in the 90s or early 00s?
 
You can't be serious ChrisL. Ask Duke basketball fans if they are OK with that tradeoff.

I agree. Wish Rubin's success on the court and his continued enrollment at Wake weren't likely to be mutually exclusive. Psyched for him, psyched for our program and glad we've had him for a year though.
 
How are individual titles like this category recorded for a school? Do they list the school as the national champ/individual title or is only an individual recognition?

It's an individual recognition - so while we won't be counting it in our list of national championships like men's soccer in 2007, he is still competing in it as part of the Wake Forest team. It will go into the NCAA record book as "Noah Rubin, Wake Forest"
