What most embarasses you about your own political party?

That Sarah Palin was the vice presidential candidate of my preferred party.

There'sa 25-35% on the right and the left. There is 30-50% who fall in between.

If a party was a little to the left socially (gay rights/marriage, forgetting about abortion, no religion in politics) and moderate economically (free/fairer trade, better tax policy, less wild defense spending), it would be very competitive.

If we could get 10-20 IND in the Senate and about 35-50 seats in the House within three cycles, the tone would dramatically change.

But vby far the most important is to have a Conostituional Amendment funding all federal campaigns publicly. Any law will overturned by this radically right five on the Supreme Court.

I was milliseconds from posrepping this post, spelling errors be damned, but then I got to the last sentence.

Both have their own agenda and everything is corrupt.
Boycott the election in 2012 ....maybe DC will get the picture! {America thinks both of you are full of shit!}

I despise politically-driven news channels that distort facts to push agendas. Both sides.

The moderates. WTF is the matter with these wishy-washy milquetoasted pussies? This is a fight for the hearts and minds of the American people, and by proxy, the world. We must not lose!

Why the national Republicans are not much better than the Democrats:

http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatc...162719-tort-reform-bill-takes-fire-from-right

Opponents of a House medical malpractice bill are trumpeting an attack on the legislation from a prominent conservative lawyer.

Georgetown University law professor Randy Barnett accused the GOP of practicing “fair-weather federalism” on the malpractice bill, which would preempt state laws that conflict with its cap on some jury awards. ...

The bill violates House Republicans’ pledge to cite specific constitutional authority for all legislation, he wrote.

“In considering a tort reform bill, the Republicans in the House of Representatives are about to violate one of the first promises they made upon taking control,” Barnett wrote.

To answer the Original OP:

The Religious Right. They have simply ruined politics for me. It was all fun and games when I was crusading against Socialism Lite but I hate being bunched in with those fuck bags.

They've already broken that promise many times since taking control. Also the promise about putting potential bills online three days before the vote or whatever.

Same shit, different day. Meet your new boss, same as the old boss. etc. etc.

the stimulus package; spending $70bil on HAMP instead of no tax dollar bankruptcy cramdown (actually that was both parties); Pelosi; not letting Bush tax cuts expire; no energy policy; general impotence

When the Republicans violate their alleged principles related to limited government, it's because the "good guys" are in charge.
