Assuming Bzzz gets canned after this season, Wellman's options will depend on what other schools are looking for a new coach. Scott Drew at Baylor seems to be headed toward getting fired. Whether Wake would be likely to attract better candidates than Baylor is open for debate. What other coaches seem likely to be gone after this season? How would you rate the program at those schools relative to Wake?

James Johnson at VT, Steve Donahue at BC to name a couple from the ACC

(Brian Gregory at GT too probably)

You mean who else is getting a lifetime extension right?

Wait, Scott Drew is on the hotseat? The guy who took Baylor from the school where the guy killed the other guy to the school that is good every year? Really?

Turgeron at MD has to feel his seat getting a little warm. He's been a big time bust considering the writer/blogger love he was getting. Hard to follow up a legend like Gary though. GT coach as well as woody mentioned.

Yeah, Turgeon has really underperformed.

At least Gregory has the Robert Carter injury excuse. But still, they weren't doing much even before then.

If Lonergan had emerged three years earlier he probably would've been a shoe-in for the MD job. Be interesting to see if his success puts some pressure on the Turge

Tony Barbee at Auburn and Mark Fox at UGA are both on the ropes.
