NBA Off-season thread: Duncan and Garnett retire

Does anyone really believe that version of events, at bar after s previous night confrontation someone essentially said "excuse me sir I do say that you do not need to put your hands on me we can have a polite conversation like gentleman"

Of course not, he probably called him a bitch that couldn't keep his hands off dudes junk that cost his team the NBA championship.

Agreed other than Thunder being heavy favorite in Finals without homecourt advantage. When they were up 3-1 on the Warriors they still had lower odds than the Cavs in Vegas to win the title.

Also, one GM said the Celtics are the favorites to trade for Westbrook.

what was the cavs series at that point?

Regardless of what was said, I'm sure that having your bodyguards choke two people and then taking it upon yourself to sucker punch the dude (a student athlete at your alma mater, no less) the next day was the best, most rational course of action.

I wish they gave odds on "Draymond getting pistol whipped in the next 2 years"

I would bet the farm. Might get away with that in Michigan of all places, but try it in Miami, Atlanta, LA and see what happens. No excuse mes will be uttered.

Blake to the Celts?

I think I'd stop acting like I could predict basketball if this happened. If there's one coach/GM out there that everything he does seems to suggest he's cool with mortgaging the future and not playing rookies, its Doc, so I can't see him caring about the Celtics future #assets.

Then again, in true Doc fashion of only knowing or liking people who have played well against him, I'm fairly sure he views Mo Buckets as an upgrade to Blake Griffin.

Locking up his son to a three-year deal in the midst of a free agency push in which one of the best players of the generation was reportedly very interested was one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen.

don't mention that on Reddit. r/nba thinks Austin got a fair deal.
