Was in the Bahamas May of 2010 and saw Derrick Rose, Tyrus Thomas (he was with the Bobcats already but I guess still friends) and other ballers at the Atlantis Casino a few times. I wasn't staying at the Atlantis but just there gambling, etc. Few days later I hop on my flight to Charlotte and I'm chilling in first class (not a humble brag, used FF miles and the 1st class ticket was less miles than coach) and wouldn't you have it, Derrick Rose comes on the plane a few minutes later. Thought for sure he'd be chilling in first with me, but he strolls to the back of coach. And there were several first class seats open.

Also met Jim Gaffigan a few weeks ago in Charlotte after his show and got a picture with him. Dude is hilarious.

Ate dinner with Fred McGriff and Harold Reynolds.
Know BJ Surhoff pretty well.
I got on TV locally when I was in middle school for having a radar gun on Gavin Floyd.
My parents meet all the Raven's/O's with sons as they all come to my HS.
 
Just got back tonight from my son's soccer game in Charlotte. Steve Smith was there as his son was playing. His son (age 14)looks like a mini Steve Smith and is super quick. They won 1-0.
 
George HW Bush is probably the most famous person I've met (my grandparents were actually friends with he and Barbara, but I met him a couple times)

Bob McNair, Texans owner, and Drayton McLane, former Astros owner

Hakeem Olajuwan and Yao Ming both worked out at my high school in the summers sometimes

Writing my blog and working for Deacons Illustrated I met pretty much all the football and basketball coaches in the ACC including Roy and K, but it's kind of different when you're working. More interesting was probably meeting Brent Mussberger down at Clemson the day Wake beat them to go to #1 in the country.

My younger brother played on a baseball team with Craig Biggio's son, so I met him a few times.
 
Met Albert Haynesworth in a bar in Knoxville. Largest human ive ever seen. Best part was the ticker on ESPN said that he had yet to show up for OTAs. Guy likes to party.

Got on an elevator in Granville Towers with Geoff Crompton. Elevator seemed full with just two.
 
checked into the grandover resort on my wedding night right next to ozzie smith. wife was still in her wedding gown and he gave us a big congratulations. i was pretty drunk and wanted to ask him to do some backflips in our honor, but miraculously held off. he was there for some golf tournament.

Have seen a few guys jogging here at memorial park. David Carr (back in 2006), Evander Holyfield (guy was REALLY short) with his bodyguard (?), Clyde the Glide Drexler (had a hat pulled down, incognito, knew it was prob a bball player, sure enough...). Saw Emeka Okafor in a Starbucks here as well, turns out he's from here and his bro played at UofH.

For the Wes Miller fans, he was out here at the NCAA Final Four last April, Coach spoke with him a few mins; we ran into him and a couple assts going into a Rockets game on that Sunday.

Friend of mine knows Hakeem Olajuwon through another friend, he played pickup ball with him once. Coincidentally he and I were at IAH going for a flight, Hakeem was getting a bagel or coffee or something in the airport. They spoke for a minute or two. That guy definitely stands out, super TALL!

I remembered another - ran into Lou Ferigno around year 2000 in the Barnes & Noble in Cary, he was browsing body building magazines. I said "hey, Lou Ferigno?" and he says "...yes." and then b-lines for the register.

I also literally ran into Michael Jordan in a club in Raleigh but I didn't even have time to say Hi before his entourage moved me out of the way.

I sat next to Gminski on a flight a couple of years ago. He's even more orange in person than he is on TV.

Michael Dean Perry's daughter played soccer years ago when my daughter was younger. Used to see him all the time at games. He was enormous.
 
Mine are pretty lame. I saw Edge (the wrestler not guitarist) at Bele chere in asheville last year. I yelled at him and he looked at me and then walked away. I would have chased after him, however I was on crutches and he was moving pretty quickly.

I met Jack O'Callahan who was on the miracle on ice team and played in the nhl. I studied abroad with his daughter but she didn't say anything about her dad being a hockey player, so when I met him I had no idea and was just like hey. Didn't figure it out until later, probably would have tried to chat him up way more had I known.
