Rush Limbaugh is an idiot

92-93 were big years in Comic Books: Knightfall; The Death of Superman; Maximum Carnage.

Death of Superman was pretty terrible, but I think it sold well. The other two were pretty good arcs for their respective characters.

No he didn't.

Yes, he really did:

"The movie has been in the works for a long time, the release date's been known, summer 2012 for a long time. Do you think that it is accidental, that the name of the really vicious, fire-breathing, four-eyed, whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane?" Limbaugh inquired on his show Tuesday.

He goes on to point out that "there's now discussion out there whether or not this is purposeful, and whether or not it'll [have] influence voters."

"This movie, the audience is going to be huge, [a] lot of people are going to see the movie. And it's a lot of brain-dead people, entertainment, the pop culture crowd," Limbaugh said. "And they're going to hear 'Bane' in the movie, and they are going to associate Bain. And the thought is that when they start paying attention to the campaign later in the year, and Obama and the Democrats keep talking about Bain, not Bain Capital, but Bain, Romney and Bain, that these people will think back to the Batman movie."

The name "Bane," of course, has been around for far longer than our current look at Romney and Bain Capital - the character made headlines when he broke Batman’s back in the comics in 1993.

And although "Dark Knight Rises" does explore the topics of class and wealth, director Christopher Nolan says it's not an attempt to take sides in a political debate."

Fully expect you to be picketing the movie at your local drive-in theater Friday.

Nothing you quoted says that he accused the movie of being a liberal conspiracy.

Clinton probably created the character...just in case this happened 2 decades later...back-up plan so Slick Willy wouldn't have to retroactively create a movie franchise to ensure his wife's presidency.

Only lower case would try to defend this.

Mr. Limbaugh said today on his radio program that the character was created many years ago. He said he was misquoted by the leftist commie media when they reported that he said the character was recently created because of Bain Capital.

Yes, when your heros like Rush or Jerry Falwell are caught being full of crap, all they have to do is lie some more, blame the liberal media, and people like you will eat it up and ask for seconds.

Did you hear Mr. Limbaugh yesterday or today on his program?

I heard audio of his segment yesterday. It is the most ludicrous take I could possibly imagine, and anybody who would know that Bane is one of the traditional Batman villains and appeared as a villain in the last Batman movie franchise (in the movie with Uma Thurman) would realize just how completely brain dead this argument is. Now Rush is trying to lie and blame the media to get out of his ridiculous take, apparently.

Rush is an idiot. So is anyone who continues to argue with lower case.

I love how a pill popping, over privileged, drop out, racist is the voice of the GOP!! But by all means play the "blame the liberal media" card!!
IT IS GETTING OLD RUSH!!!

How is he over privileged?

Yup. Right here. keeper is the Limbaugh of this board. His deadpan-delivered-extremism and drive-by, one-liners which do nothing more than change the subject when he's cornered by a stupid argument are the hallmarks of being a board Limbaugh.
