Daptone Records band The Olympians are led by Toby Pazner, who plays in Lee Fields & the Expressions (who have a new album and tour), and the rest of the band’s large lineup includes other musicians from the Daptone family (and beyond). Members play in Charles Bradley‘s band, The Dap-Kings, Budos Band, Antibalas, The Arcs and more.
 
Any fans of Black Eyes here? They broke up maybe 12 years ago but they had a least one good album. Pretty raucous stuff.

 
Just realized how much the last track on Modern Country sounds like Eno.

 


I love this video so much. The first four tracks on You & Me (Donde Esta La Playa / Flamingos / On the Water / In the New Year) are silly good.
