Galloway back to WVU

Can someone tell me a high profile kid that Galloway landed for us that we couldn't have gotten without him? I kind of thought he was a bust as a recruiter, I know he let Quinshad slip through our hands.

Legitimately wondering this too. Not saying he isn't far and away our best, I just don't know. I do know his unit sucked and he was worried about losing his job. Anybody know what Special Teams unit fell to him?

Yeah, because Grobe really seizes opportunities. Just look at the amazing jump in recruiting we seized post 2006. Wait, never mind...

I will say that he wasn't our best recrutier. Himebauch, Jackson and Elrod are all probably better recruiters. He had some hype coming in from WVU because he landed Tavon and Bruce Irvin for them.

Jonathan Williams

Galloway covered Atlanta and South Florida for the most part I think. Tyree Harris is from Marietta and a WR, so I would assume that he was recruited by Galloway, but Rivals doesnt list it. Jonathan Williams, 6'4" WR that redshirted this past year, is from Mays HS in Atlanta, where we have never previously recruited before Galloway.

A lot of Galloway's recruiting rep also comes from landing Tavon Austin to WVU
 
Those 2013 guys were mostly Himebauch's doing though. He is the offensive line coach and he also covers Georgia.

Now Crump, Matthews and Willams were a decent haul for him last year. I think he was a good recruiter, but nothing so spectacular that it will be devastating to our program.
 
Grobe may not understand big time football, but everyone here sure does. You guys should write emails explaining to Grobe how to recruit and compete for BCS Championships.

Does Grobe have any siblings or cousins that he can hire?
 
He will probably be out of a job again next year when WVU has just as bad of a year.
 
Galloway is a great guy, having met him and even played golf with him this past pre-season. Hate to see him go, really wanted him to take the reigns as our next OC.

I don't remember everything, but he mentioned something about things changing in 2016. Perhaps he meant Grobe retiring then?

Though I don't think that is some almighty leap since that is when Grobe's contract runs out. I bet most people would assume he won't be our coach after that time, at the latest.
