UVA opens -8.5 vs. Deacs tomorrow

I'm glutton for punishment....they've reeled me in again. Deacs win this one 64-59.
 
Its going to suck to lose this bet, but I'm in on wake +11.5.
 
That said, they just beat an FSU team (who is better than Wake offensively and defensively) on the road by 12, but I'll chalk that up to small sample size.

Absolutely. While we suck on the road, UVA may be without Harris, and Harris has not been anywhere near his normal level of performance through the 1st 2 months of the season. They did play a nice defensive game at FSU, and while we do suck on the road, I can't see giving us 11.5. In fact, given UVA's struggles, I'd even say there's probably a better chance we win than lose by 12+.
 
UVA +12 is ridiculous. I mean they may cover it, but there's no way they cover that 50% of the time (which I know people disagree with what Vegas oddsmakers are actually trying to do).
 
Is someone sick or hurt? It's up to 12 almost everywhere? Something is going crazy. This is as big a move as I've seen in years. Someone knows something.
 
For a mid level ACC regular season game books probably just move lines as the money comes in. So if a lot of money comes in on UVA -9 they'll push to 10, etc.

For an NFL game, for example, books are regularly fine taking 80% of the action on one side and not touching the line if they feel good about the other side.
