NCAAF Coaching Carousel

Michigan AD shot down the rumor Nuss is making a top 5 coordinator salary.

He made approx 700k at Bama so he likely received a bump closer to 800k.

Greg Mattison is still the highest paid assistant on the UM staff at 850k.

ah, then that supports the theory more.

QB talent isn't the issue, with that freshman that's coming in...

Nuss got paid a LOT of money to be the Michigan OC. Like, top 5 Coordinator $. Plus, it's Michigan. It's not doing as well as bama right now, but it's not like that school is lacking in tradition...

I hear ya. But if Bama wanted to have kept him, money would not have been an issue. And while Michigan is a great program, they are at best a lateral move from Bama and more realistically (at least currently) a slight step down.

James Franklin a reported $4.5 million per for 6 years at Penn State, making him one of the highest paid coaches in the country. That ought to make OSU AD Gene Smith real happy in his next conversation with Urban Meyer.

Former Wake Asst Brian Knorr is going back for his 3rd stint at Air Force

What was the story with Sapakoff? I know the name but can't place details.

Nussmeier was the OC for Sark so doesn't seem to me like this is just Saban wanting to switch styles because Nuss spent 3 years calling the spread at Washington. I remember, when Nuss was hired, wondering if that meant Alabama was changing how they played football (which seemed ridiculous at the time, perhaps even more so now that Saban seemingly bitches about fast tempo and player safety, as if he really cares, at every opportunity). There must have been some conflict there.

Huge Clemson fan, A$$ - almost campaigned to have Wake out of the ACC, mainly football. His arguments had much less 'creditability' then than now. Hopefully, DC will get us back.

You know it's bad when we've generally done a lot better than anyone thought we would and yet we're still down 11.

Didn't Spankoff write a piece where be bitched about going to a Wake b-ball game and claimed the arena was full or cigarette smoke? Which is stupid, since you aren't allowed to smoke in it.

@notthefakeSVP Can't believe new Wake HC Clawson may leave after less than a month for Vandy. He must really miss the SEC.

Supposedly Scott Van Pelt. Obviously I don't think it's real. Still interesting. No record of this tweet on SVPs page it could just be made up or deleted. Wouldn't put any weight in it.

Where are you seeing that? He hasn't tweeted in 6 hours.

Troll job?

I would assume it's just a Vandy troll job. If you twitter search "Clawson Vandy" it shows up with a RT in front of it.

Obviously I don't think it's anything but a troll job.

Penn State: CBS' Jeremy Fowler reports James Franklin has offered Vanderbilt wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator Josh Gattis a similar position at Penn State.
