That is hard to tell because there are a lot of people who think / claim they are moderate that are not. Maybe it is a matter of perspective but I think this place has fairly clear left lean...much more so than the scout board that had a fairly hard right lean.

Besides rj, who claims to moderate and in your opinion is not?

Take a look at the old board. There are basically two people left posting about politics. Both are lunatic RWers (TJ and koobs). The farthest left person (shoo) is also gone.

Don't have any...that is why I said "seems like". I could be wrong, like I said it probably is a matter of perspective because all the ones challenging the fact it is more left leaning are left leaning posters (IMO) and the ones saying it is left leaning are right leaning.

All I claim to be moderate on is economics. if people actually paid attention to my post about economic issues (like today when I said investment in start-up companies should have preferential tax laws), they' would see this is true.

I don't even know what conservative means anymore? It clearly now is about as well defined as libertarian. Also what are we saying is moderate? If RJ the self proclaimed moderate is the definition we are using as moderate then there are no liberals on this board.

Alright. Just use this thread as a sample. Go through everyone that has posted and let designate liberal or conservative. There are VERY few moderates in this board if we are honest with ourselves. Just go left/right with each person who posts. I am on my phone so it would be pretty time consuming but I'll look at when I get back.

Mind you this is technically a conservative thread so if anyone should be active or over represented it would be pubs.

I know it messes with the narrative of the underdog stalwart conservatives holding down the fort, but there's no way the boards are more liberal than conservative. You're looking through the wrong end of the telescope.

That is another problem...what is a "liberal" or a "conservative". There are plenty of issues that I am probably more left than 70%+ of the population. No way would I consider myself a liberal. There are plenty of issues that I am right of 70% of the population but I don't consider myself a conservative. I have very few "moderate" views so I would not consider myself a moderate.
