@heelsyes says BzzOut at end of year

As usual, Bz fails to live up to low expectations.

Honest question: Does Buzz even want to return? The guy has offered to resign three times thus far, yes three! Evidently, his Highness pleaded with Buzz to come back this year, and Buzz agreed. Don't get me wrong, $1.3MM is a lot of jack, but I've got to imagine that his wife is miserable and wants to GTFO of town.

Realistically, as DV7 stated the GT loss was the tipping point for almost any support remaining, all any fans can do now is support the players and hope for a good hire to improve things.

Ball State,
It is my understanding that the AD's department asks the coaches to do that at there season ending meeting with the AD, he then says no or yes like he did with Coach Grobe this year. One would have to feel that he will say yes to Bzz this year also.

I'm not disagreeing that you have heard this, but I would be floored that a coach would be expected to offer his resignation at the end of each season. I can't imagine that is common place in the industry.

Yeah there is no way that is true.

Sorry, can you clarify this a bit?

Ha! That would be the ultimate "kiss the ring" move. It's not megalomania if you can pull it off...

So Jay Vidovich walked into Wellman's office a few seasons ago and the conversation apparently went as follows:

Jay: Hey Ron. Nice weather today.
Ron: Hi Jay, congrats on the national championship.
Jay: Thanks, we worked really hard and we're proud to bring a title back to Winston-Salem. But anyways, I wanted to come in here and offer my resignation to you.
Ron: Hmm, I am tempted to accept it but I guess you've done enough this season to warrant coming back next year.
Jay: Thanks, I'll keep working hard to better WF's soccer program.
Ron: I'll have my eye on you so don't slack off.

Love the dancing Lopez .gif!! Mad pos rep to you sir!!

Got to love his bio on the Wake site:

Lauded for his coaching ability on both the collegiate and the professional levels, Jeff [Redacted] is in his fourth season at the helm of the Wake Forest basketball program in 2013-14.

I called the GT loss rock bottom because it sealed [Redacted]'s fate.

I'm so tired of being right.

If something finally sealed his fate, rather than calling it rock bottom I'd think of it as Mt. Everest.

Writing his bio for the Wake site must have been incredibly difficult.

Wait. What? The loss to Ga. Tech has officially been declared rock bottom? Does that mean we are now on an upswing? Are you promising that Buzzellman can't take us to a lower point? Wouldn't a loss on ACC WEDNESDAY really be the ultimate low point - basically losing a play in game to the real ACC Tournament? I'm not convinced that we are at rock bottom. I believe [Redacted] can take us to lower places. He still has plenty of time to take us to the abyss.
