This is just getting tiresome. He probably looked at all the threads Moon started today and wrote this fluff piece. Who are we supposed to feel sorry for here? I'll answer that... the Wake Forest fans who remember the great days and want more than anything for Wake to be relevant again. That's who. I don't feel for Dan, Bzz, Wellman or the big money. I'm just a fan who wants to go to work on Monday and tell my Tarheel coworkers how much I enjoyed kicking their ass in Chapel Hill. That's what I want.

Bizarre to me how Wake fans have, pretty universally, been portrayed as petulant during this dumpster fire. I feel fanbases of other schools would be justified in feeling and acting as we have and even worse. But because we're LOWF and we should know our place in the world, we should just shut up and take it.

Of course, but there are plenty of complete failure coaches out there. Bz is odd and I think Dan has yet to get used to dealing with just how the odd guy is.

He seems like a jackass. Whether it was the way that he handled pulling Patton's players' scholarships when he took over at CU, leaving his Air Force team without telling them, telling opposing fans to fuck themselves, being a general dick in the press about Wake Forest student athletes, throwing his existing players under the bus and deflecting blame at every opportunity, etc. The list goes on, but JB seems far from OK in my book.

He is definitely socially awkward, everyone can agree on that. I chalk a lot of his gaffes up to that (e.g. botching press conference quotes, standing up Nebraska coach on a dinner date). There also seems to be some smugness with Buzz, but when your boss is extremely smug then some is bound to rub off.

This entire shit show is ALL on Wellman. The boards constantly shit on Buzz when we should be shredding Wellman to pieces. Wellman is the true jackass.
 
Based on Bz's career path I expect him to be named head coach at Kentucky in April.

What do you chalk the gaffes I mentioned up to? The article about the kid who couldn't afford to go to college after Buzz pulled his scholarship was pretty brutal...

Please elaborate I honestly have no idea what this is but it gets so annoying how we turn Buzz into this evil dude who sucks at life. If Wellman played golf with any of us and said 'hey I'd love for you to be the next Wake coach' every one of us would do it for $1mm/yr in a heartbeat. (Don't give me the 'I'd do what's best for my alma mater' BS.) Then after a few years Wellman still keeps you around for meeting his absurd goals even though you're clearly in over your head and all of a sudden people call you a jackass and question your character and make fun of you driving a Prius.

All of our energy and hatred should be directed to Wellman.
