• Welcome to OGBoards 10.0, keep in mind that we will be making LOTS of changes to smooth out the experience here and make it as close as possible functionally to the old software, but feel free to drop suggestions or requests in the Tech Support subforum!

Spring!

Forsyth tech closing at 3. Doubt we'll be in before 10 tomorrow if at all.

UNCG closing at 4pm. Nothing from Wake yet.

Hopefully this weather does not inhibit rolling the Quad tomorrow.

really hoping Wake closes at 4, since I have a class that lasts until 4:15. But, knowing Wake there will be no email until 3:55.

Side note: If the email comes, is it appropriate to interrupt the professor to tell them that class is over?

I think the official policy is that a professor with a class starting prior to the time of closing can choose to hold class until its normal finish if they choose, no? I might let them know of the closing just so they're aware (since they won't be checking emails, obviously).

Not what I wanted to hear. This is the worst.

I'm tired of missing school for winter weather, but I wouldn't mind one tomorrow if the rumored press conference happens. All day celebration of the end of Buzz would be worth one more school day in the summer.

Heard that there were several accidents at and around Reagan High School...

Some models are showing snow coming in for the triad tonight (according to one of the weather blogs).

Just got home from Winston. The temps were in the mid 30s, and the roads were just wet. Not slippery at all. Much better than just a few hours ago.

Forsyth county EMS has put neighboring counties on standby due to all their units being tied up at the moment.

30 car pileup on bridge in davidson county....sounds like if you hit your brakes at all on any triad bridges prepare to die

parts of biz 40 near WFU Baptist closed due to ice. It's bad out there. Won't get above freezing until about noon tomorrow, so no confidence in the kids going to school at this point, although now only on delay.

Neither of these are making me feel good about getting to the office tomorrow. I'm glad I packed up the office and brought it home.

We live right near 421 and I have heard a constant flow of sirens since about 8:30pm.

Wsfcs and surrounding county schools all closed today. Makes it 9 days missed.
Since the semester began, we have yet to go two consecutive weeks without missing a day of school. The grading period ends next week and we will have gone to school all 5 days of the week just three times since January 17.

Wake opening at 10. Most forecasts I've seen don't have the temperature above freezing until a couple hours after that.

So I'm thinking it wouldn't be safe to drive to work in like 20 minutes? Seeing lots of reports of wrecks from overnight on bridges and highways. I'm giving myself at least a 2 hour delay.
