Obama to issue work permits to undocumented workers?

I DGAF about their religion or their principles. I want property taxes now motherfuckers. I have mouths to feed.

Bad news for Bake 2.0 is that he'd have to pay taxes on his cleaning lady will now that she'll have a legal work permit. :)

Yes, though whether that is a good thing or not depends on a lot of factors because they will eventually also draw Medicare and SS. Medicare and SS both appear to be really good at paying out more than they pull in. New tax receipts may very well put more into the system, but they also add more payouts so I don't see any net gain over the long term, particularly since these folks would be legalized in the middle of adulthood and not be paying into the system their entire life. If anything, it's a net loss.
 
And the alternative is how big of a bill to deport etc?

And what about the gain from their productivity for American business who, quite frankly, want them?

Why not save the former and have them pay in and contribute with the latter?

I need cheap products for my family and every penny must be saved and invested so my kids can go to a 50k/year school or they just have no chance

so millions of undocumented should keep paying into SS and Medicare without getting anything back. that seems fair.
 
They don't seem to mind. They actually broke the law to do exactly that.
 
The law they broke is a misdemeanor. I bet you've committed at least a misdemeanor and not turned yourself in.

So if they're being paid under the table with cash, what exactly is going into SS and Medicare?

The law they broke is neither a misdemeanor nor a felony. It's an administrative law, but a law nonetheless, and a law that has consequences.

I'm not sure what the cost is to deport, but if we keep hiring BP agents like we have been, then we should probably use their enforcement capabilities, don't you think? Quit neutering them and let them do their job. Quit crafting immigration policies that reward border lawlessness and encourage more of it. That would certainly help address part of the problem.

American businesses have done just fine paying them off the books.

But American businesses want this labor and they want it cheaply. I'm no smart guy, but it appears that if you follow the money then you find that American business drives American policy. If the policy is flawed, chances are that someone is making money, I think we can all agree on that. This President and this congress are colluding with, and are under the thumb of, American business to do nothing substantial about immigration because the dollars are in favor of doing nothing. The big show on TV with Ted Cruz and Obama and all this is just theater.

Now, my interest is in feeding my family and making as much money as my average mind and average class gets me. This cheap labor helps me do that. so, whatever helps is fine with me. I think having them pay some taxes is good too

For me it's the whole rule of law thing. I'd like to see existing laws enforced or repealed/modified. In this case I'd like the law to change. If we don't have the will to do that I'd like it enforced.
 
This Congress doesn't really pass laws, its not their thing. They are in place to do just the opposite.

What are you feelings about the thousands of businesses and households who commit fraud in their employment of these illegals under the table? Prison?
