Holder managed to be a bigger opponent to civil liberties than Gonzales. That is truly an accomplishment.
 
Why is Holder resigning now? Is it purely about getting someone confirmed with the current Senate? Conservatives hate Holder so much that I'd think they'd confirm any replacement rather than keep Holder in place.

The Dems tried to delay the F&F doc release until the day before mid-term elections. The courts said no and the docs will be out sooner. Given the timing, one might assume that there's a bunch of shit in those docs on Holder and crew that the party wants to distance itself from before mid-terms.

Even if nobody has ever been schooled before (you or anyone else JHMD), I think we can all agree that Vad brought facts to the table where nobody else was bringing much other than opinion.
