BBall Recruiting Megathread - Crawford, Moore, & Collins ALL TO WAKE!

One thing I just now realized. We stole 2 of our recruits out from underneath the hometown team. That is really impressive. Both were favored to go with their hometown team originally, and our staff came in and sealed the deal.

I guess outside shooting remains a concern for our roster unless Mitchell and/or Hudson are legit. Look forward to seeing their skill level in early November.

He thinks Wake has no chance of competing in the new ACC and therefore has no shot at Giles because he will want to play for a contender. So he's arguing with Meyer that Wake doesn't even deserve "Dark Horse" status in the Giles race. He's just some random ignorant fan and not worth paying attention to.

Four bad years and its as if we've been bad forever.

I don't understand what Stinkler's comments mean.

According to him, he's a "Hollister Model Applicant"

Here are a couple of his other tweets:

"Trying to grow a beard but the itching is going to win the battle."

"It's Friday and I got $2.50 of booze that's equivalent to a traveler of whiskey and $10 for jury duty. Things are gonna get crazy."

"Anyone going to Hobo Days in 2 weeks?"

Nuf said!

There is mutual heavy interest...Giles has had mild interest for a while, despite the darkness of the last four years.

Manning and staff have amped up his interest. IMO, we are currently in the thick if things with him.

Very good to hear.

The 2015 Summer RSCI just came out with Doral Moore at #59 and Bryant Crawford at #87.

For historical comparison, Moore is in the same league as former Wake big men Tony Woods (#43), James Johnson (#47), Jamie Skeen (#52), Darius Songalia (#58), Carson Desrosiers (#66), David Weaver (#73), Antawn Scott (#76), and Kevin Swinton (#76).

Crawford is in the same league as current Wake guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (#77) and former SG Trent Strickland (#84), 30 spots higher than Ish Smith and 30 spots lower than Jeff Teague and Broderick Hicks.

Several average to "miss" players in that list. We should be tempering our expectations with this class and looking to continue the trend up. Manning did a great job with this class, but it was just getting us back in the range where have typically been. Let's hope the momentum, along with some favorable recruiting circumstances in 2016 and, hopefully, Manning actually being a very good game coach lead us to that next level. At least we are on the right path so far....

"I didn’t want him to be a show pony,” Gatlin said. “Everyone wants him to dunk because he’s a phenomenal athlete, but he’s so much more than a dunker. He’s a playmaker with the mentality of a stone-cold killer on the court. He’s constantly working to develop his all-around game and his skill-set is catching up to his athleticism. You really can’t box him in; he can do it all.”

Very good read about Kwe in the UsaToday from a couple of weeks back.

I know it's already been posted but these clips are just amazing.

I gotta be skeptical until the end. Obviously he'd be awesome, but I'm skeptical.

It's more pure athleticism than we've had at guard in my lifetime as a Deac. We may have had guards with more skill or maybe a touch more speed, but none that can come close to touching that kind of bounce.

If Wake were to get a commitment from Kwe before the season is freshmen year, our sports marketing department should throw those videos up on local tv and a video billboard in town with a simple message to buy Wake Forest season tickets while you still can.

Kwe has once every few years athleticism. He looks like a short Andrew Wiggins.

I would love to get Kwe, especially in a circumstance where he can be an energy guy off the bench as an underclassman, allowing him time to continue to develop his game. He would be a great piece in that class, but I hope we are looking to bring in another guard that might be more likely to be a ACC-level starter earlier. Maybe that "starter" is already on our roster, but we don't have anyone that has the typical accolades (as a recruit) of an All-ACC 2 guard. Maybe Kwe works hard and successfully expands his skill set before his Freshman year.
His SportsCenter dunks could help us establish our National rep and make us appear to be an exciting program again.

Man, I'd kill for some average ACC players.

Well, Manning seems to be able to deliver, so keep your knife in the drawer for now, Ph.
