I still haven't gotten over the IOC giving a country with a miserable human rights record the 2008 Olympics.

BREAKING: The Independent Police Complaints Commission has just announced that there is no evidence that Mark Duggan opened fire at police officers before he was shot dead, according to ballistic test results, reports the Press Association.

Whoops! Not that the original incident has much to do with what's going on now but that certainly won't help quiet things down.

Still no idea if Duggan actually had a gun or threatened police with it.
 
I think a lot of Londoners are hoping the police use rubber bullets tonight finally - there seems to be strong "revenge" feeling through much of the law abiding population.
 
I didn't even realize they sold baseball bats in the UK. I guess looting and rioting is harder with a cricket bat.

I hope they're better trained than Boston PD. Rubber bullets can kill pretty easily if improperly used.
 
Yeah. And they better make sure they're firing at the rioters rather than innocent bystanders.
