Triad restaurant comings, goings and recs

I'll always remember that Taco Bell as the one my buddy obliterated.

We had just eaten at the Steak 'n Shake north on University, and as I was driving back to campus, my friend demands "Pull over, NOW". I turned off the road, at that Taco Bell. Friend runs in and proceeds to evacuate his entire system, and Alanis Morissette has a new verse for her Ironic redo.
 
I'll remember it for its D sanitation rating.

Damn, that Taco Bell and the one on Stratford that is now Olive Tree were regular hits when I was a teenager. RIP.

Definitely the biggest complaint. Burgers are so good but $12, no fries or anything is p pricey for Winston.
 
Looks like red hot and blue has closed. Haven't seen that reported but maybe I missed it.

Not surprised. There was never anyone there anytime I would drive by it. I wonder if Deacon Blvd. will ever be a viable location again.
 
Had Burger Batch for lunch today. I think Cin Cin is better but my GF liked her veggie burger better than what they have at Cin Cin. $50 (including tip) for two burgers and a milkshake is a little absurd though.

wat, burgers are like 12 apiece tops, milkshake is 9 (and is basically a meal in itself), what am I missing? or are you just a really great tipper?

Oh you didn't mention fries at all in the first post, duh. That's a ton of food though. Doesn't seem so bad for two peeps but maybe I've been out of Winston so long I've gotten used to not having super cheap prices.

Yeah, you can get a better burger at Cin Cin for $11 or West End for $9. $14 for a burger and fries is pretty steep.

Ehhh not so sure it's better at West End (certainly nothing to match w/ those shakes).

Cin Cin maybe, if you're willing to risk the wait staff changing your tip/trying to screw you (friend had a tip + total altered pretty badly to make it seem like he wanted to tip like 80% and the restaurant wasn't even apologetic about it/only reluctantly charged back the difference after some badgering).
