Hearthstone Thread FTMFW - 4/7 Ashes of Outland release - New Demon Hunter class!

I saw you're already up to at least rank 14 - nice work, 03.

Thanks. I can't get my almost free mid range hunter deck to do much better than that sadly. If I draw a few 1 drops, I'm golden. If not, I'm screwed.

Any thoughts about the new pack changes? I've personally never gotten a duplicate legendary or more than two of the same card in a pack, so the only thing that really affects me is the increased legendary rate. Still, good for everyone, I would guess.

Lucky dog. Among some of my duplicate legendaries:

I got 3x Spiritsinger Umbra on the first day of Un'goro pack opening.

And I also crafted Aya hours before I opened her in my very next pack.

I like that we won't get duplicate legendaries even though it's only happened to me once (duplicate Grommash). I also like that the first legendary of a set will be easier to get.

I wish there was an easier way to get dust though. There are so many legendaries I want to craft: Patches, Aya, Lyra, Warrior Quest, Mage Quest, Rogue Quest, Fandral, Kazakus but I only have enough to craft 2 of them and I kind of want to save the dust for the next expansion. I've been hoarding my gold as well for the next expansion but it would be nice to be able to convert that to dust somehow other than buying packs.

Perhaps this doesn't need to be said, but don't open ANY packs (if you can help it) until the next set drops. If you acquire any, just leave them in your stash until the new changes roll out.

The cards aren't generated until the pack is opened, so no sense in opening them under the old rules.

Doofus and I hit Dad Legend today, within 30 minutes of each other. He had a great idea to celebrate: try to queue up at the same time, since we were at the exact same rank (Rank 5, 1 star, on a winning streak). In case you're wondering, you can play your friends on the ladder:

Rogue Quest is getting nerfed to 'play five minions...'

I'm leaning towards taking the full dust refund. I don't think the card/archetype will be competitive in Standard anymore.

This is exciting because it allows for more control decks to be run.

It will be interesting to see if they do anything to curb Pirate Warrior. I still think that it is messing up the meta as well. I would think that Patches would have to be nerfed to do that though.

Meaning, if I craft the Rogue Quest now, I'll get a full refund on it?

If you disenchant it during the one-week period they give you, yes.

When they nerf cards, Blizzard grants a small window where they'll offer full dust for anyone who wants to disenchant the card - this is why some people save every copy of every card they ever receive, in the off chance it is nerfed. This is different than what they did for the HOF cards; you have to disenchant the card to get the dust.

They need to nerf Patches for this Brawl.

I kept conceding until I found someone not doing that.

I ended up running Jade Idols. I lucked into starting with Innervate and went second so I was able to play 4 Jade Idols on my turn and won by turn 4.
