Definitely roll the dice. He's a great player.

Flores' choice is going to be an interesting one. Based on 6'7 to 6'11 here are the 'impact' players who will potentially decide who lands Juan.

Silver City 1
Anchorage 1
Amarillo 2
Panama City 2
Duluth 2
Pittsburgh 3
Burbank 3
Boulder 5
NY City 5

Not sure what the actual odds of success are for each team but It would appear Silver City and Anchorage will be in the drivers seat. I estimate those teams each have roughly a 23% shot with Amarillo, Panama City and Duluth roughly 11% winning the lottery. NY And Boulder have a 5% chance at the stud.

Much the same for Amarillo, but good news on the Flores front. Burbank dropped out of the race making it an 8 team lottery.

How is everybody looking in your Conference Tournaments? I'm 0-2 and am firmly on the bubble at #60. Not sure what went wrong. I lost to the now #212 team in the first round.

San Antonio won the conference, surprisingly, but got bounced in the second round. we only amassed 37 points in that barn-burner.

so we move on to the NTT to take a royal beating.

i have given in to the fact that my recruiting is in the toilet. i expect a minimum of one walk-on which is scary with a full league.

Took losses in the conference finals in test league and league 31. On to PTT for #53 Durham, so you'd think I'd do pretty well. We shall see.

No change in recruiting, which means

David Simmons 4/4
Julius Hemphill 2/2
Jonathan Ingalls 1/1
Glen Venable CL
Josesph Householder 1/1 (-4 RP)

Amarillo is in the midst of an awful 2-10 stretch which includes 5 straight losses. I don't quite understand how 5-1 turned into 7-11, but here I sit.

At least recruiting is positive with 3 CL. I'm still hoping to land the lottery on Flores and/or coin flip on Frank Riddle though.

Regardless, 6'9 Hugh Maly out of C8 Kissimmee will be on the Nightmare next season and add much needed quality in the post. 6'6 Matthew Cox out of C12 Miami will likely be our starting SF next season meaning for a much improved front court both rebounding and defensively. If I could somehow add Flores to that duo, this team would instantly compete in what has to be considered one of the weakest conferences in the nation.

Edit: Also, I'm in the RTT. So below NIT level... :(

I'm in the NTT vs the #14 team despite going 0-3 in the conference tournament. Made a few changes to the lineup. Moved my pass first 6-6 SF to PG and shifted my scorers around.

Flagstaff won the last two games in the conference tourney but all that got us was a high seed in the RTT after so many close misses this season. Two 3OT losses, another OT Loss, and multiple close losses doomed our inaugural season. All of those losses were to Top 70 teams, and all but one were NTT squads. Recruiting I think is actually going to be pretty solid but my team next year will look a lot different next season. Going to go from a offensively skilled team to a team that will have to rely on its defense. That's generally been more of my style in this game so i'm not upset about it but it will take few seasons to get this thing turned around....

Cincy plays down to our rankings in the tournament and bumble our way into an 11 seed in the RTT.

Recruiting is shaping up a bit better, but nothing really good:

Stephen Ellis (43) - 3/3
Thomas Robinson - 1/1 (with NTN)
William Bentley (7) - 7/7
Matthew Twilley - CL (C6 recruit, 5'11" PG, expecting an EGFFFP ranking)
Eric Coleman - 0/3 (C16 recruit, 6'8" C, expecting FGGPGP - probably a bSF or something with the poor rebounding)

Flagstaff recruiting Is really just going to come down to if we win a tie or not. If we do, i'll be pretty darn happy with my first cycle:

Hector Carlisle 6'8 PF - 4/4 Projected FEFGGE One of the best defensive players i've scouted. Averaging a combined 5 blocks/steals in HS on a really good team.
Samuel Perry 6/4 PF - 1/1 Projected GGGEFF - Good scouted with EXE- shooting but I don't think it holds up. Looks like a solid SF worst case, and possibly a SG if SHT holds
Nikola Rouse 6'8 C - 0/1 Projected FEGGFF - Servicable big man who will be a nice addition to the team. Brings post defense and rebounding we need
Victor Buie -6'6 SG - 2/2 Projected GNEFGG -Thought this guy could be a microwave off the bench but scoring #'s have dropped from 27ppg to 19.7. hope i don't need him.
Brett Robinson 6'3 SG - 0/0 Projected GGFFGG - If his defense stays at Exc as scouted he could be a real find. Otherwise, he instantly becomes my best bench player.

Think I probably end up with Perry, Rouse, and Robinson which would be more than fine. Would be a top 25 class in my head if I land Carlisle so a guy can hope. Either way we will be adding some solid pieces to the team. One thing I am interested to see is how the scouting works out with the recruits compared to what i'm thinking in my head.

Stillwater ended up as a #15 in the RTT, so we obviously have a ways to go. Managed to win our first tournament game though, and it looks like we were the only team in the conference to do so. I'm hoping the results feel less random going forward as teams start to stratify, there were a ton of upsets in every tournament.

No major changes in recruiting except that I've been chasing down a guy who the lead team seems to have abandoned/be ignoring. I'm assuming some others had the same idea as he just popped on the top 75. I had a 1/2 on him heading into the week though I'm a decent distance back still. So I'm in good shape relative to the other chasers, just depends on whether anything changes with the lead team.

Not really sure what the final outcome of recruiting will be - none of our top 4 targets (Oliver, Biles, Garey, guy I'm chasing) are well-scouted so they could realistically come in all sorts of different ways. Going to be pretty key for our short-term competitiveness, though, to bring in a strong class this cycle. Our graduating seniors aren't great to look at (ranked 134/152, though a poorly distributed +13/-2) but the lineup I landed on features all three in the starting lineup. We may be pretty bad again even with a strong class.

Does the high school team info have any impact on the recruit? I could probably find that out somewhere, but havent looked.

NTT Tournament Update

San Antonio Horror (11) - 80
St. Cloud Snow Chiefs (5) - 72

well, i didn't think i would win one game. luckily we got past that prediction quickly with an upset win in the first round of the tournament. not bad with the 88th rated team, based on class ratings.

Nice game from SR PF Andrew Cannon with 16pts and SO SG Domenico Counts, also with 16pts. Not to be forgotten is JR bPG Alejandro Peterson with 12pts. next up is Akron TAB Rats (3), and i think we have a shot in this game. going to some tweaking, based off their team stats, and hope to come out on top. they are big though and can score from everywhere...will not be easy.

btw, Andrew Cannon was #2 in the C24 POY and my only player represented in the awards. next year will be painful...i wish our damn coach would learn to recruit, as we will be left with nothing next year.

Lost in the first round of the NTT. Four straight losses. I just can't figure out this team. I'll post the ratings later and see if I can get some feedback.

It helps put their stats in context and you could use it estimate stats based on the prior three classes to leave that high school.

RTT Tournament Update - You know you want it!

Amarillo Nightmare 69
Bethlehem Chutzpah 67

Admittedly, I really didn't expect to break our 5 game losing streak, but being the 16 seed (Yes 16 seed in RTT...) we knocked of the #1 Chutzpah in a masterful hack-a-thon in which we sent them to the line 17 times and they countered with 13 trips for the Nightmare. Outrebounded by 10, we did manage to win the battled of assists and blocks and most importantly pts. With 8 seconds left in regulation, Daniel Pratt intentionally fouled Amarillo FR Jorge Beatty who proceeded to go 0-2 from the line.

Frank Schmitt got the defensive rebound, dribbled and passed the ball as time expired. Amarillo tried to give the game away in a display fitting for the RTT. I'm eagerly hoping signing day on the 14th will turn this program around. We have to get better defensively and rebounding wise.

We got deac on deac action in the RTT on Wednesday - #11 Cincinnati taking on #3 Flagstaff. Should be a barn burner with both teams averaging over 17 fouls per game.

Ranked #45, I should be one of the better teams in the PTT. Just jinxed myself.

#1 seed in my region is #18 ranked Harrisburg. How'd he not get an ad large bid to NTT?

any other Deacs in the NTT? my team can't be the one to lead the charge in the first year...my team stinks
