HP's UNC-Cheat Thread - UNC comes out on top, NCAA penalized by UNC

True or False:

UNC fielded sports teams that were populated with athletes that received credits for grades received in sham classes?
 
Substitute geology for AfAm and tennis/lacrosse for football and basketball and the outcome would have been entirely different, both from UNC's reaction and the NCAA's course of action.

At least the Goldmans had ‘some’ satisfaction out of the civil suit!
Does the ACC do anything at all?
This is an embarrassment to the ACC as a whole!
Why don’t we just split the conference divisions by academics?

Make no mistake. Cheating has been rewarded. Smith, Guthridge, D'oh, and Williams are cheaters. You are ok with that. You are ok with a systemic culture of cheating and lies. Getting caught did not embarras you and your school. Getting off with no repercussions... well that got you off too.
 
For the life of me I cannot comprehend how not having to do actual school work as a "student" athelete is not an "improper" benefit. But I don't really care. Like I said, the real prize is throwing this fake school shit in the smug faces of UNC fans for the rest of my life.

Also, respect to jmhd. I think he's dead wrong but not dumb. So very much unlike most unc fans I've encountered.

Was going to say that Dan Wetzel referred to them in his column today as the University* of North Carolina.

I am of the opinion that the moderators institute a policy that any time "UNC" is entered into a post, it be modified to "U*NC." (In the same way [Redacted] shows up as "name redacted.")
