HP's UNC-Cheat Thread - UNC comes out on top, NCAA penalized by UNC

This. They should be forever tied to "how to cheat in academics and sports". If they want to be proud of that, then so be it. Being a school with an asterisk next to their name forever will damage their brand.

It's not about vindication because u*nc is guilty. They admitted they cheated. Smith, gut, d'oh, and Williams presided over a program that cheated for 20 years. 20 years. Just because u*nc found a loophole for its cheating does not mean vindication. It means you are happy you cheated and got away with it.

Was just about to post the same thing. With jhmd doesn’t know the definition of vindication or he’s kidding himself.
 
I guess this means that all schools will now have fake classes for athletes, since the NCAA seems to be saying there's nothing wrong with them. It's all part of programs designed to win.

Absolutely no doubt. The NCAA has sent a clear message to every athletic department in the country saying that playing by the rules no longer matters. Going forward, it should be known as The U*NC Doctrine.
 
Sometimes I fear I might grow weary of always being correct, but then I snap out of it. We all have our cross to bear. Mine just happens to be perpetual excellence.

At another school, your cross could have been going to class. Getting grades for doing no work doesn’t seem very boot-strappy to me.

My professors made sure I went to class. None of them thought they could afford to miss a moment.
