Props to Wolford

This has probably been discussed a lot, but is Wolford faster than Hinton? I seem to recall that Wolford is faster straight line speed. They're both pretty fast so it's likely not a big deal, but curious if anyone knows.

Hinton seems a lot quicker/shiftier, and I bet they're about the same in the open field, although Wolford is really sneaky-fast.

My only knock on Wolford is he still sometimes does the turtle move in traffic (in the pocket and out) where he puts his head down and prepares for contact. He does often somehow escape unscathed and complete passes/gain yards, though.

His turtle move is more about escaping now. Before it was about taking the sack. I'm not sure if Hinton is quicker/shiftier now. Wolford's running ability has improved.

I don't know if this is true; but Wolford strikes me as the football equivalent to the "gym rat" in basketball. He seems to be a serious student of the game as well as player. That would help explain how he reads defenses so well, now that he has time to read them. His decision-making this season has been remarkable; but he also has the talent to execute the reads.

However, I suspect that State's defense is the best we have faced apart from Clemson. And, of course, Wolford did not play against Clemson.

LOL.

Yeah, not sure where this great State D idea is coming from?

Use the most white-athlete cliche of all time, why don't you? Is he also probably a "cerebral player" who lives in the film room?

D line is great, as good or better than we've faced this year. Not expecting WF to put up a big number rushing this week. Sacks also a big concern obviously.

State is 40th in rushing defense I mean that's not terrible but about the same place Louisville and Notre Dame is and we had success running the ball against both of them

ND wore out State's DL but ND has one of the best OLs in college football. BC ran the ball pretty well against State but didn't score many points. I think we can run on State if we execute the read option like we have been the past 2-3 games.

Celebrating Wolford's year and posting some highlights, and talking about strengths/weaknesses for our 2018 QB is why we can't have nice things?
No, spending time arguing about who/what is/isn't racist on a thread celebrating Wolford's year and posting some highlights, and talking about strengths/weaknesses for our 2018 QB. We have something we can all agree is pretty great going on, but people just can't help themselves from having this devolve into stupidity and name calling.
