Official 2018 NBA Offseason Thread: the preseason cometh

This is the furthest LBJ will get in the playoffs for the rest of his career. He has no gas left in the tank.

Was Markeiff sitting behind the Celts basket to the left wearing a sweatshirt?

They’re just going to let the Celtics post up Korver the rest of the game?

lol, jr smith is such a bum

so many bums on this cavs team

Can't say I've ever seen that before. Horford like wiping his hand on his knee to lull Love to sleep and then moving the other way immediately afterwards.

2016 Draft analysis:

Brought in: Jaylen Brown (No. 3), Guerschon Yabusele (No. 16), Ante Zizic (No. 23), Demetrius Jackson (No. 45), Ben Bentil (No. 51), Abdel Nader (No. 58), 2019 Clippers first-round pick

Sent out: No. 31 (Deyonta Davis), No. 35 (Rade Zagorac)

Whew, where do we even start with this one? Boston went down to the last second fielding offers for No. 3, but ultimately decided to keep the pick. Given some of the offers that were made public, I'm not entirely sure about that decision being all that prudent with how things ended up for them, selecting Jaylen Brown. The team could have selected Kris Dunn and had a positional glut at point guard momentarily, but it would have kept them in the Jimmy Butler sweepstakes with Chicago. Not an easy choice, but probably one that could have gone differently.

There needs to be a full investigation of the Celtics, Brad Stevens and Aron Baynes. This should include drug tests, checking out balls used in games, any ties to voodoo or witchcraft and any other outside forces. In 402 previous NBA regular season and playoff games (zero makes), Baynes had made a total of FOUR 3pt shots while shooting 14.3% in the regular season (4/28) and 0% (0/1) in the playoffs. Versus 10/20 - 50% in this year's playoffs.

Something is very funky and probably illegal knowing the Celtics.

Similar to deflategate the Celtics are swapping out the regulation size game balls for smaller balls that make it easier to hit 3s, but only when they are on offense, when the Cavs come down the floor they quickly swap back to regulation size balls.
