Senator Collins[R-ME] announces FOR Kavanaugh

And just like every other Republican pretends, Wrangor doesn't support Trump, he just supports 90% of what Trump does and just comes on these boards for Benghazi and Brett Kavanaugh. He's a piece of shit.

Your party now has the proud distinction of putting two men credibly accused of sexual harassment and/or assault on the nation's highest court. Yet another victory for the party of personal responsibility and family values. Congratulations!
One, Trump. He also pays Russian prostitutes to piss on him.

Your point?

I think the point is that you're a terrible person and one wonders how you can look at yourself in the mirror.

Ted Kennedy killed a woman. Politicians are terrible people on both sides. I wouldn't stress about it too much.

You are both clearly suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. I hear that growing a pair of testicles helps cope with the symptoms. Testosterone injections are also available and I bet you would see benefits in other areas of your life as well.

Lollers. And how long ago was Ted Kennedy an active politician? That's like the Republicans calling Democrats racists for years because Robert Byrd once sat in the Senate. My point is that it's amusing to see a party that claims to represent Christian "traditional family values" wildly celebrating a victory in which they've put a man credibly accused of sexual assault on the Supreme Court, and they've already done it once before with Thomas. Instead of growing testicles, maybe your party should grow a conscience. That really helps too. Not that you care, of course. By all means, though, keep insulting away, it seems to make you happy.

enjoy judge Jeff [Redacted], pinocha

Kavanaugh is many things and may be many things. He’s definitely a donk of the highest order, a company man who isn’t even fit to pick Gorsuch’s boots.

Manchin would vote for a liberal nominee by a Dem President. His opponent would not.

So liberals need to vote for Manchin. Then challenge him in six years.

Incoherent much?

^This. The GOP conceded any moral high ground in politics the moment they nominated him and then made him POTUS. All their claims to the be the party of family values or traditional moral values or Christian principles or whatever has been clearly proven to be bullshit at this point. You simply can't support somebody like Trump (or Bannon or Paul "Ayn Rand Disciple" Ryan or dozens of other Trump minions) and then still claim you represent any kind of decent moral standard. That ship sailed for the GOP a long time ago.

Unfair again. BK was no proven guilty of anything. He was accused. The burden of evidence has to be on the accuser in any crime. In this case it wasn’t even close to who who had more real evidence and who was operating on mere hearsay. BK was rightfully acquitted on the public stage of the accusation because there was nothing to support her version of the story.

Lumping BK (has lived an exceptional adult life by all real evidence), Paul Ryan (a bit of a wormy politician, but no real moral scandal), and Trump (an awful human being who has no moral compass) together in the same category is ridiculous. Did every congressperson who voted with Clinton intimidate White House interns to give them blow jobs and then ruin their life? Of course not! That would be a ridiculous statement.

There are plenty of ‘christians’ who have sold their soul to get on the Trump Train. I am with you there, but lumping BK (and apparently Pul Ryan who is almost a meaningless republican at this Point) into it is poor logic and just incorrect. Don’t overrreach. That is how you lose sense of reality. When BK is your evil monster you are going to have a hard time convincing anyone of the real monsters like Trump.

it’s a game and y’all got played again

the bigger question is if it’s ok by the board’s pragmatist faction to not vote for Manchin
You weren't here commenting?

Yep

Democrats think they won because Kav’s confirmation was inevitable and now the party can turn to voters, especially women and say we need your vote next month to stop the next nomination.

Women republicans don’t buy this charade though. Heck my wife was more ‘upset’ about this than i was. Her point was ‘since when was an unverified accusation all you need to sink a persons career?’ She’s right. In order for this to have to teeth it has to play to the middle of the country. It just doesn’t on a wide scale. Polling shows a slight favor to democrats in the middle, but that most likely reflects the media coverage which has been intensely anti-Kavanaugh. This may have a short term bump in some sectors of the country but I think it also galvanized the right as it gave legitimacy to the crazy claims that Trump is always spewing about the left and the media. This was a political hit job organized by the left and supported by the media to attempt to accomplish the goal of preventing a 5-4 court on a seat that was stolen. This was the counterpunch that the referee saw occur after the Republicans secretly nut punched the democrats while going for a rebound.

I don’t deny the Democrats their furor over the stolen seat. You have every right to be frustrated. I even see why they went nuclear on BK in an attempt to steal it back. But it was a fruitless endeavor without the votes and I don’t think it will play all that well politically in the long haul.

So it is pretty clear that Wrangor's view is "that bitch be lying!"

Does your wife also believe that Dr Ford’s story was false and a political hit job?

Thank goodness the younger generation actually has real compassion.

Nope. Try again. I think that a 36 year old testimony is simply unreliable without other witnesses or evidence from the event. Her own testimony is filled with holes. This doesn’t mean she is lying, just means the testimony is unreliable. There is a huge difference, one i find it very hard to believe that intelligent posters on this board can’t recognize.

It has absolutely nothing to do with compassion. That is a morality leverage play and not evaluating the scenario with logic. By obtaining false moral high ground you attempt to invalidate my analysis. It is very possible that Dr. Ford believes that Kavanaugh assaulted her, and at the same time that actually not be what happened. Those two statements are not incongruous. That is what most sane Conservatives believe. Just because someone believes it to be true (dr. Ford) does not mean it is true. Without supporting evidence of the event it is impossible to tell if she is right. Democrats used Dr. Fords attempt to piece together her past to viciously malign a public servant with an impeccable public record. That is my view.

This I also agree with wholeheartedly. But Wrangor being called a “fake ass christian” is ridiculous. He doesn’t support Trump. C’mon Shoo

To be fair to Shoo, 90+% of American Christians are “fake ass Christians,” so he’s probably not wrong.

It’s the only view he can have. Any other thought process won’t support his pre-determined view of the world.

He mis-cites the ABA and ignores the fact that a near unanimous group of lawyers, including Junebug and DeacMan, say Kavenaugh shouldn’t be on the SCt.

All for the idea that abortion must be stopped by any means necessary.
