Well said. We’ve had a lot of teams who could have used a player like him.
 
A little early to bury Lewis.

I think we really miss Moore’s rim protection. Sarr not quite there yet on the defensive end, which surprises me because I thought he showed good timing on blocked shots last year.
 
A couple of nice boards by Sunday. Too bad he can't put it back in the hole.
 
It's a shame Hoard won't be back. A 2/3/4 of Hoard, Mucius and Masoud with Wright and Chaundee would be very good.
 
Amazing that no matter what the personnel, that DM can coach them to play terrible defense. He really needs help. But I doubt he would turn anything over to anyone. He probably thinks we are playing good defense
 
Not enough time to evaluate Lewis. One good pass on the break. Got beat off of the dribble once but so did about everybody on the team. Core strength, lateral quickness and just game speed play not back yet.

It is his specialty.

Also, it is hard to play solid D with a bunch of long athletic types.
 
Lot of good offensively. Hate seeing the staple of Manning's defense which is the mid court trap with Wake's tallest player leaving an open 3 for the opponent.
 
If Manning could coach D this team could be very good. I just don't get his defensive philosophy giving wide open 3s. It's almost as if everyone crowds the center and only rotates once the ball is kicked.
 
I lke that Danny has a relatively short bench thus far. I don't like his constant subbing. It stops flow.
 
Manning should hire a defensive coordinator and let him have 100% control of the D. Don't even give him any advice. No communication at all.
