Boogie, Allen, Walker, Bothroyd, and now McCollum. That should make for a great D-line for a while.
 
Seems like a very good group, and when all our LB's are healthy and on the field, and the DB's continue to improve, we should have a very good defense next year and particularly in 2020. Sawyel leaving was addition by subtraction as well.

Not sure if he'll play as a freshman - we have pretty good depth at DE now - but I think he'll have several very good years for us. Could end up being a star.

He's closer to 235-240 right now.
 
One of Wake's 3rd and long problems this year was the inability to get pressure with only 3 or 4 man rush. Seems like that could change in the near future.
 
Big DT Jaden McKenzie out of Wake Forest (the town) is announcing 12/19. Sounds WF and UNC are final 2 and hoping the news of other decommits only cements him to WF. Will see in a few weeks.
 
I have been watching Wake football for a long time and it seems that the staff has had much greater success In consistently bringing in defensive lineman then any other football staff we’ve had in past. This has always been a weakness of ours and it is not been a weakness For these years nor does it appear to be one for the future
 
We are recruiting well and our strength and conditioning program needs to be recognized for helping our players realize their potential. With the new facilities about to open, this can only get better. The Clawson years, so far, prove an ability to develop players which should be a big plus talking to recruits.
