Wake Forest Football Recruiting

I don't think so, he was one of the few impressed by the Mack Brown hire. Seems to be a UNC lean.
No way Jaden missed the Deacon beat down of Duke and come from behind defeat of State. The in state school that has the best upside in next 4 years is WF, not UNC, not Duke and not State. Most recruits in state understand this now. They know Clawson is the coach who develops players better than anyone in state. WF is 6 and 6 in a season in which an average of 12 players in the rotation were unable to play every conference game. Many were starters. WF always has Clemson and FSU on schedule. If you want a real chance to play on the ACCC team in next 4 years ya need to be at WF or Clemson. And WF is the only in state school to win the ACCC game.

I can see Shamar playing many positions for us in his career.

A 3rd down pass rush specialist DE early on. Or a close to the line Rober type later on.

That interviewer just kept pissing me off. He's like why Wake Forest repeatedly when you are so good why Wake. Grrrrr

Shamar McCollum is a stud DE who really impressed at the Rivals camps.

One of the top performances at the Rivals camps, he has a high 3 star rating on 247 and a 4 star rating on Rivals.

Hes one of our best commitments (behind Groulx, either right ahead of/tied with/right behind Donovan Greene). The dude was a fucking monster at the Rivals camp where Groulx earned his top-100 status and got a ton of praise.

AKA Deacon fans should remember who he is.

Clawdawg, Hemphill, and Tabacca visited this dude last night.

There must be a pretty good feeling he can be flipped from out of the Maryland mess or Wake wouldn't have put that much effort into a guy who was 83% Maryland per 247.

Wish 247 would put a date on their crystal balls. Would be useful to know if the 83% was before or after the suspension, reinstatement and firing of Durkin as HC at MD.

Sounds like a guy who could have a very noticable introduction early in the 2019 season. With 9 months of Wake strength and conditioning, he could be ready to play a lot as a true freshman.

If you're on 247's site, click on the link under the percentages that says "crystal ball predictions." It has them all listed out by who made the pick and when it was made.

Thanks. All the MD crystal balls were from June and July. The latest one, from November, is "undecided." With all the turmoil in College Park, it is not surprising he is still thinking about his options.

Go get him, Claw!

He was last listed at 6' 4" 216. He'll likely need to gain 15-20 lbs to see the field, but that's doable with an 18 year old, lots of food and a good S&C program. Not sure if he'll play as a freshman - we have pretty good depth at DE now - but I think he'll have several very good years for us. Could end up being a star.
